LOL. I read the title of this thread and thought to myself......"I wonder what Desrow is going to whine about this time? (half joking with myself)"
Xeris, you gotta do what's best for the NASL, there's no need to reply to DesRow's qq in this thread. Just make NASL as good as it can be! (I've found a huge improvement over NASL s.1 so far, congrats!!!)
DesRow, pay the ten bucks and practice hard. You're a good enough player that you have a chance to qualify for this no matter what the circumstances are. Do the talking with your play.

New maps, if the players are decent, should make this really interesting to watch. Maps really haven't been explored enough yet in the game.
|
I have no previous experience or anything with the maps, but i like the idea and i hope the maps are good & balanced. (What a surprise that desrow is crying here.)
Good luck!

LOVE the map names, esp damage inc.... plz tell me thats from master of puppets, kick ass song big ups!

Cool idea to use TPW maps, but nine maps seems like a bit too much to learn for one open tourny. I'm interested to see if there will be any big upsets due to one competitor practicing the maps more than his opponent.

The Damage INC Map is pretty cool. I think that's the first time I've ever seen minerals blocking a ramp or something in SC2. Fuck the rocks.
How many minerals are there exactly ? 5 ?
|
Why such a strange map pool?
|
How does this work towards people that are not from USA. Can you register regardless of your country? At wich point do you have to travel to a phyisical location? Does NASL pay for the travel of the winner?

I just opened that map, it looks pretty cool
the problem is, if this is played with all 4 spawn locations, 2 of the 4 starting locations have much easier 3rds than the others,, i believe. The minerals blocking the ramps on the beaches is all well and good, but the bottom left and top right starting locations have a much easier third, as far as i can tell.
If cross positions are forced, I think this map is really cool

What do you think? Maybe they want to test the maps out and/or get them popular? Something new for a change.

I think for 10$ fee, it should be double elim, so people can get their money worth... imo and double elim lets the gets you a stronger field if top 8 adv....

Maps look really cool, looking forward to seeing some good games on them. Would be nice if the spawning locations were marked though. For me at least, it's not always obvious.

Can't wait to watch.
Desrow stop crying.
