The finals at providence will be interesting because nestea, mvp and white ra will all have to play open bracket on top of this mini tourney. That's a lot of games and we already saw at gsl finals what happened to mvp when he had to play a lot of games earlier in the day.

Its not extended series tho cause they hadn't met before.... So did they extend it to a Bo7? Cause normaly MLG goes double Elim when someone comes from the loser brackets...
So was the Score 2-1 then 2-1 again in the favour of MVP :S?
The extended series rule goes for the finals as well. If whoever comes from the lower bracket (Mvp in this case) wins the bo3, it's extended to a bo7. It has worked that way for MLG from the start afaik, we just haven't seen the WB champion lose the first bo3 yet this year (I think?)

Either Nestea replaces him as the BlizzCon invite, or MMA replaces him as the Korean representative. No official announcement on this yet I think.
2nd place from blizzcon gets to go. MVP, Nestea together with probably Idra and White-Ra in a bracket. Should be good fun.
Lol yeah whitera will probably beat Naniwa, Ret or SaSe. Lol wtf are you on?

White-Ra starts with a 2-0 advantage in a bo7 over either Ret or Sase in the finals, because he beat them both 2-0 in the earlier series. If Naniwa wants to make the finals he needs to beat sase in the losers bracket finals, starting with an 0-2 deficit. Therefore, Naniwa probably won't make the finals, and ret/sase probably won't be winning the finals either.
Doesn't seem like a stretch to see whitera winning this. My drug of choice being rationality instead of hyped fanboism/anti-fanboism.

Extended series in a double elimination is soooo stupid. There's no advantage for the person coming from the winners bracket besides winning the first 2 out of 3 games. If he doesn't, those 2 games he lost counts as double against him... might as well call it a bo7 finals with no advantage to the person who came from the WB. If it was a regular double elimination, MMA would've lost the first series 2-0 and won the championship 2-0 in the second series.
The reason why the person in the WB always wins is because of the games in group play. Because they haven't lost and in the WB, they'll almost always be up 2-0 in the finals.
MLG and their stupid double elimination extended series is really starting to piss me off. Almost everyone complains about their stupid anticlimactic finals and they don't care because they're making big $$$$.

I'm pretty sure the matches are not played live and why should SaSe forfeit the chance of winning $2000?
The message from SaSe this morning could actually be that he won the Invitational and want to explain in advance why he won't accept the invitation from MLG and going to Providence.
We do not know and hopefully we will later tonight when the matches will be played. On that note, can't see the MLG Invitational in the upcoming events here - anyone know exactly when it starts tonight?

JP noted that he lost his voice mid-casting yesterday. It was probably recording that so they may re-record.
That or it just hasn't been added to the calendar.
