Better players will plan out a way to get further and further into a game where they're more likely to outplay weaker opponents. They don't just open up 111 and end their planning there.

the fist set, the worst set of them all

I think GSL forgot this isnt a Nestea vs Inca or Nestea vs Losira finals. They don't need all the fillers for hours of tvt T_T

Also it took out a bunch of addons which probably had to be rebuilt which is not good when your oponent chooses that moment to attack you.

I just feel that game had little dynamism. A good game should be on a knife's edge, with each player a moment away from death. But here it was just a leisurely max out on air units till the final engagement. MVP was floating >1000 min, 1000 gas during the midgame, but there's no consequence. Both players float so much money at the end that there's basically no penalty for sloppy macro. There's no pressure, no tension, no sense of danger. It was novel to see giant air armies in Boxer vs. Rain but it just has an endless, actionless buildup during which the players essentially ignore each other until the final battle when it's all over.
Edit: spelling

MVP is game genie terran and a god. Good use of 1k imo. Totally true; that was TvT from the future.
Hah, the game was sooo good my post got lost in 3 pages. That drop and mass nuke in TOPS main was the big tipping point. (Not to mention the sweetest thing I've seen in a while). I don't understand how this map is so good, but it fucking never disappoints.

They're not giving TOP any credit atm though ;< Yeah. Tastosis said that TOP was outmacroed, which is not true, they made the exact same build and TOP was ahead on every single timings by at least 20 seconds. Then he was 13 scv ahead in early-mid game. Seems that sacrificing SCVs at good time and in good number will be part of macro from the future in TvT
I've always been curious as to why you would kill the SCVs when your opponent goes to free up supply. I'd rather have them trying to work down my tanks on hold, and maybe sim city out a prison. You'd either force your opponent to have an SCV murder mosh or have an inferior army.

They went like 20/25 mirrored tank/hellion, into mass viking/raven + some tanks + some thors.
Then when map was splitted, TOP started to nuke turrets/sensor towers/expos of MVP, not too much damage.
And then "the move": MVP drops 3 thors, some ghosts and sends his whole army of vikings/ravens to Top's main. Inmediately he drops 4 nukes (only 3 land) and that prevents TOP from defending at time. TOPs main is destroyed, and by the time he gets there to clean, MVP has already left and pushing centre with his remaining tanks.
From there, it was just a battle of vikings (MVP had more) and keep pushing until TOP conceeded.
PS: To make it more epic, there were offensive/defensive nukes all the time, so sick.

hey guys were teh Ganzi vs MKP code a finals good?

Okay a few points:
1) The people who voted no have shaky fingers and should not be playing starcraft. They all meant to click "Yes"
2) Flash is the first SC2 Bonjwa. Get it right. It just hasn't happened yet.
3) If you're here looking for a recap, just wait six hours for the VODS to come up and watch it with your significant other. Use it as foreplay.

These two are fantastic news presenters.
