I hope we see another 5 way tie afterwards, and then like boxers heading into the 9th round, players start dropping to like 50 APM or super cheesing, or super-long stalemate macro games where no one wants to attack.

Fixed it for you Plexa
(As "cool" as it is that a 5 way tie might happen...yeah it's not like we're seeing an extension on a game between MVP and Nestea...soooo tiebreaker will just cause me to close Gom Player =/ )

taeja 2-1 trickster 2-1 mkp 2-2 jyp 1-2 violet 1-2
violet vs taeja trickster vs jyp
taeja and trickster control their own chances, a win for either puts them at 3-1 and in Code S violet and jyp can lose and guarantee themselves code A
if only one player claims a spot in code S ^, there will be a 3-way tie at 2-2 if neither player claims a spot in code S, $$$$$ 5-way tie for the restart

At this point I am feeling that marines and tanks + what ever the hell terran wants from the starport is actually just as deadly as the standard 1/1/1. I haven't seen any of this stuff help even once still when executed well. Yeah, every day you see a new 1-1-1 build emerge from no where, it seems like the more that Terran 1-1-1 the more cheeses they find they can do >_>

why are people complaining about the 5way tie, arent ppl happy like me to see a 5waytie so theres more starcraft games??????????????? :D

MKP has tried it vs both Toss, and is generally relying on a huge number of 1base plays as a crutch nowadays. Ah ok. Did not know that. For the record I used to be a huge MKP fan, but his refusal to adapt to current trends in most match ups, and his increasingly heavy reliance on one basing after going through a period of great macro games at the start of the year has just steadily turned me off. --- On the plus side for the Protoss fans, you either get 1 more toss guaranteed to be in Code S, or you get a tiebreak with none of them out, so it's not all doom and gloom just yet. I guess that's true but I'm sure almost all of us would prefer JYP to Trickster. Yeah, it's pretty obvious which Toss is going to bring the more exciting and innovative play to Code S. Sadly Trickster being cheesy seems to be working more than good ol' macro-innovation ><
This entire group has been cheesy.

Tester is not one more Toss in code S, it is one toss that retains code s, but we should be thankful even for that
Honestly at this point, just from a gsl fan perspective, I'm grateful for every guy who does not play terran and plays in code s, even if it's a non code s caliber player like tester.

It's a matter of taste on this one I agree, but the BFH on BFH trend is uninteresting to me.

Wow I thought there will be a limit to the no of rounds before they introduce some form of sudden death/alternate format. Like in soccer, after a set amount of extra time, it goes straight to penalty kicks. Nope we just keep going around and around and around. And around and around and around. And around and around and around.
If today unseats yesterdays longest cast record.. just one day after it was set..

It's just the evolution of the game, don't know how that's on the shoulders of Blizz, they probably wanna see if players will work the game out of this trend before they start tossin changes everywhere.

Obviously if it takes way too long GOMTV will come up with something to stop the ties.

Would you say terran has viable late game options against a Zerg who hasn't had his economy hampered?
When should the terran attack?
