EPTYes, because with the spore crawler decreased burrow time, warpgate nerfs, and now even blink stalker nerf, it's basically impossible to pressure a zerg third without going all in or investing too heavily into something. This is what you always see in PvZ, if there was a safe reliable option that was economically reasonable, protoss would be using it.
Don't FFE against Zerg. Pretty straightforward. Just going 1 gate expand is enough pressure to deny Zerg's third. If Zerg tries to take a third against 3 gate sentry zealot, they will die.
After all, it's how FD won GSL1. Behind? No problem! Just throw down a few expansions and hope to god you don't die.
Don't talk about GSL season 1. Literally, Rainbow played worse than Diamond NA today. It's amazing how much the skill ceiling has grown. I mean, double thor rush to defend against mutas into triple expand and then mass thor/marauder/marine without siege tanks? Wtf?

Forcefields and cannons, and wall offs, are extremely good defensive abilities for Protoss. There's not much Zerg can do to deny a Protoss' third unless they opened FFE and Zerg went fast third, or goes 2 base all in (which is obvious when there's no drones in his mineral lines, or a million units at the front of his base).
I was laughing at Idra for those comments, it showed he has very little understanding of the other race's perspective.
But it's true. Unless you want to say gateway units or robo units are too weak against Zerg, right now SG/DT and FFE are horrible openings. Every ZvP this GSL, when Protoss went stargate, they proceeded to fall behind at least 10-15 supply when they failed to kill anything.
I mean you realize this GSL, not a single third was cancelled by stargate or DT? Only 1 queen, at most, was ever killed? The stargates never killed more than 5 drones? That Zerg never responded with more than 3 spores?
They are playing risky. You don't see Terran open banshees every game, and then complain that Zerg is OP when it stops working. No, now Terran play more macro, and build an army, and army that Protoss seem to forget owns Zerg.

The guy who lost to 6 pool in a macro game? The guy who got into the GSL with void ray all ins, and now is suffering when it was figured out? He is nowhere near as good as Huk or MKP.
