Ye i agree. focusing the collosus wouldn't have changed anything anyway.
So not doing anything besides lifting a single stalker is better than lifting immortal and zealots (which gives you a chance at winnign ground fight) and killing colussus?
No, but saying Socke lost because of that is completely wrong. There were no way for him to win this fight. He lost as soon as he started that fight.
Maybe you should find a better reason for him to lose the game instead of the obvious "oh he switched target before killing the collosus !"
No..phoenix is build order counter to colossus. Even MC mentioned it in Homestory Cup. Rotterdam is right. I don't know why people doubt him about PvP. You need to attack while the colsosus is 2 or less. At 3, the colossus burst damage will zealots way too fast. Socke's phoenix also engaged way too late. The Phoenix needs to engage the colossus before the colossus engaged Socke's main army.
4gate is build order counter to 1Gate FE but not if u wait forever to attack. Phoenix is very strong against Robo builds but Socke completely missed his timing and he had very little chance to win the actually fight u are talking about. Sure, he played it completely wrong and it could've been much less one-sided but their builds had nothing to do with the actual engagement.
Socke going for a very fast TC before additional Gates, Mana 3Gatr Robo, Socke botches the early engagement and Mana is in his base with 2 Stalkers and a Zealot doing huge damage - he has already a 16 supply lead
