If he hadnt done so he could have forcefielded the ramp until puma got medivacs up and he would have a great economic lead. he actually had enough ff with his 6 sentries. he just failed to do so

Shouldn't stay like that with just a few stalkers and sentries, T can easily destroy you with concussive shells. He could've even pulled a few SCV's if Socke had more units outside. Especially as Protoss nowadays, with 1/1/1 T tactics going on you dont want to loose units early! He had sentries could have forcefielded forever and ever Socke didnt pay attention andgot punished for it like a silver player if he played correctly then he would have been in a beter position what youre saying is very wrong

But controlling from the down the ramp you have maybe less then 0.25 secends. It was more risky play by Socke than Puma What I meant was that it's the same dynamic regarding the ramp and cutting off units, but, obviously, harder for a FF contain than for FF defense.

Puma got pretty lucky not to lose half of his army right there. If his army was split in half it would have been a mistake but it didnt.

Puma made his own luck there.

You're right at a lower level, but Socke could just preemptive ff, put pylons near the puma's base to scout drops and snipe them. This kind of contain, if well made are great.
