So it wasn't Socke's fault for not paying attention or pulling back? luck [lʌk] n 1. events that are beyond control and seem subject to chance; fortune he had no control over socke's forcefield, this is luck. he clearly made an arrogant move, high masters protosses (the ones i meet in ladder on europe) rarely miss such forcefields, it was simply luck, or socke thinking that his enemy would be more respectful of him.

"move back, move back, move back or he's gonna stim and then timepush you". Shouldn't stay like that with just a few stalkers and sentries, T can easily destroy you with concussive shells. He could've even pulled a few SCV's if Socke had more units outside. Especially as Protoss nowadays, with 1/1/1 T tactics going on you dont want to loose units early!

But I've seen Terran players making the equivalent mistake - overcommiting to an early push and losing their whole army for not much - and then defending the counter really easily. HuK vs Bomber in Code S recently was a great example. Socke lost because he got greedy and didn't throw down an FF when he needed to do stuff in his base. Still, PuMa basically flipped a coin there, and won. Nothing especially impressive.

But I also dont get how Puma could have the balls to go down the ramp like that, in 90% of games he would have lost a good chunk of his force. It was indeed boderline-stupidly risky, I would be surprised if he ever pulled something like that on MC.
