That defines a 1/1/1 not units or timing By your standard every Terran build past 10 min is a 1/1/1 then since I've never seen a Terran not get 1 barracks, 1 factory, 1 starport if game goes past 10 min. No 1/1/1 is defined as banshee, marine, tank, & raven optional push very early which is extremely difficult for protoss to defend due to slower tech path. One or two base dont matter as second base is a cool trick to lull Protoss into complacency but has little effect on end result. | ||

It's also stupid to refer to a 1/1/1 opening in TvT and TvZ because that literally tells you nothing about what units they actually opened with. | ||

Every terran build past 10 minutes doesnt have only one of each, think a little before posting. The 1/1/1 was designed with an offensive purpose in mind but was also applied to defense. Its a solid oppening that allows the Terran some flexibility. And like the name says, it consists of building 1 barracks followed by one factory and a starport right after. What you do with those buildings its up to you but the name comes from that sequence that was new in a time where people were 2raxing or 3 raxing only then start to think about the factory. Yes maybe most players go 1/1/1 to use the famous composition from the last months(?) maybe, but that has nothing to do with the name of the build. | ||
