They should be on GOMtv. https://www.google.com/calendar/embed?src=gomgsl@gmail.com&ctz=Asia/Seoul For a list of their schedule. DRG, Qxc, Boxer, Choya and Ganzi should all be at one of those, at least. For them, hopefully Wednesdays. There should be 12 spots open. Correct me if im wrong, but both BoxeR and GanZI got a code A spot from MLG right? And MMA got code S due to MVP already having it? For sure Boxer doesn't get it, the Code A spots go to "Non-Koreans", so I presume GanZi doesn't get it either (though read above for an alternative interpretation) - either way Boxer dosen't get it. The question is who's gonna take the spots, Naniwa has it already, Idra obviously has no interest... SjoW - I can't imagine him taking it after denying it last time (confirm/deny?) Ret - See above Slush - See above Sheth - Someone came home from Korea early Kiwikaki - Will he take it? He's previously tried to qualify for Code A but now there's a team house (in San Fran or something?) My guess is NO Socke - Can't see him leaving Europe for Korea Haypro/TLO - Already were there, Haypro recently left too. SeleCT - can't see him taking it I can keep going on and on, but in essence, is this becoming an embarrassment to GSL/MLG? That no one wants to go to Code A? Personally I wouldn't mind either cutting it to 1 or 2 spots, or allowing Koreans to take the spots. To be fair they are going where the money is and a tournament that last a full month in a foreign country would need to have a relatively certain high pay-off to ever be worth it. As it is they are considered successful if they get past the first round and don't have a snowball's chance in hell to get to Code S. The only reason I could see to take it is a whim or "I feel like visiting Korea and can get my air fare payed" with maybe a side of decent practice. On the other hand for people already living there it's a no brainer. MLG being just a weekend is a lot easier for non-resident people to show up, play then leave regardless of the payout, it isn't nearly as big a commitment. The GSL format is interesting mostly because it gives so much time to prepare against each opponent but that same length shuts down foreign competition. Frankly I am finding the tournaments like MLG where there is a lot less preparation for specific players to be much more interesting because you can have dark horses. GSL has the occasional upset but nowhere near the surprise of MLG (Alicia out right away ? :o) and on top of that being single elimination means players who weren't participating in the fall are having a lot of trouble breaking in regardless of level (DRG).

Around 10-12 players can get into code A from the qualifiers, because a bunch of foreigners will be competing in code A next season. At the moment I believe the number should be 14. There are 16 spots up for grabs normally. 4 belong to Naniwa, Thorzain, Fenix and SaSe. That makes 12 places up for grabs. Then you have to replace Sheth and Rain/Ryung. So another 2. EDIT: Also GOM have the notoriety for announcing players very late/not revealing how many spaces are up for grabs (for instance they only announced Sheth after the qualifiers for last season was done and only announced the foreign seeds for GSL March on the day of the qualifiers.) I am not quite sure about that. Lets do some counting: We have 32 spots. 16 went to Code B-> 16 free spots Sheth gave up his spot-> 17 free spots Code A winner to Code S->18 free spots Top 7 Code A to Up-and-down->25 free spots Ryung to Up-and-down because of Rain left Code S->26 free spots 9 players from Up-and-down to Code A->17 free spots 4 Foreigners to Code-A->13 free spots If nothing else changes, I believe 13 players can advance from the Code A qualifiers to Code A.

Doesn't this mean someone like DongRaeGu can qualify after he won that 3D cinema tournament before Super Tournament finals against sC? Also wonder if there's anyone else who might try qualify by this means? Any other potential guesses? Could Jjakiji qualify by winning ICCup weekly finals 1? Can PuMa from winning NASL? Interested to see. they get seeds for the qualifiers, it doesnt mean they actually qualify for code A
