Fenix placed higher than Sjow last MLG so he took it before Sjow could get it.
Select is Korean, and did spend about a month or two in Korea around GSL3, early 2011, so I don't see why he won't take it.

My predictions for who'll take the Code A spots for GSL September:
Moonan, Cruncher,
And either Naniwa (if he goes out in Ro32 of Code A) or some one between WBC & Oz.

GSL September = first month of College classes. That's the big issue.

Can we get this thread back on topic about GSL August Code A qualifiers, not GSL September.

Yeah, Koreans should definitely be eligible imo, at least ones that come themselves and play through the Open Bracket. For them MLG would basically be another qualifier tournament, and as such an extra incentive to come over and compete and show the best games they have (the prize money for anyone except the winner of the event is barely worth the trip).

Foreign based meaning that somebody like SeleCT would be eligible even though he is Korean by nationality. So unfair.
he is actually incorrect. The players invited through the exchange program can not, but if the korean went through the open bracket they can. So ganzi is in Code A for example I believe sense he played top 5, and was in the open bracket.
I am 99% sure I saw a post from MLG or GOM stating this. If I am incorrect then I guess I either dreamed about it or just mis read.

Wait, wait, wait. How could Select and Moonan take it if they're Korean? How does GSL define "Korean"?
edit: above post clarified it for me.

its funny that I cheered for MVP from the beginning and even named my new account as "IMMvp" a week ago once again he shows I've always been right to be a fan of his

It's gonna be real tough for Boxer, Ganzi, and DRG to go through those qualifiers right after getting back. I would not be surprised if DRG fails yet again to make it to Code A.

Unfortunately, MLGLee subsequently answered some questions on twitter clarifying that Ganzi won't get the spot. And only non-korean based players/teams are eligible for it. Back on the topic, here's a list of players to watch out for. Given that we've seen so many players already, this list is not very exhaustive and I've not included ALOT of good players. Its just the more famous players or players with the most potential. Uh, I added more. Too bad there's only 12/13 spots...

Wow that is so many people, but if there is still the same amount of spots in code A is it really doing anything?
|
Huh, do DRG and Ganzi have time enough too make it back for the qualifiers?
