It's way more efficient to use a lower number of gates. Only time the mass gates is important is when cooldown is a factor. And considering Kiwi owned the whole map cooldown was not important. He played it correctly. When you have 7000/3000, you can use 20 gates. It allows you to trade armies with a terran, then make 100 supply in 30 seconds, enough to overrun them before they can remake their own army. If you keep production slow, you will take forever to actually finish off terran. You can use 20 obviously, but the supply cap is still 200. It's stupid to create a ton of useless buildings. That's called a waste. He drops 10+ more gates then the terran hero drops and snipes a couple of his expos then he's broke then what? All so he could have some useless gates? He can maintain 200 supply off his gate count anyway. He had 7k 3k. If he went broke off of that without facerolling his way to victory he's bronze league. And Kiwikaki is not bronze league.

So awesome. This is his clans twitter. They were really excited to reach 100 followers a few days ago. I'm sure it would mean a deal if they got a few more ![]() They deserve this ![]() Agreed, Gimix is absolutely a class act for that. What happened? In the Winners Bracket Ro2, Gimix played WhiteRa but WhiteRa unfortunately turned up 30minutes late. MLG had no choice but to stay consistent and give him a DQ for being late like they have with others in the past. Gimix offered to still play the game but MLG had no choice. Anyway, later down the line WhiteRa meets up with Gimix in the Losers Bracket Ro5 where Gimix had a 2-0 lead because of the extended series rule from the DQ. He wrote to WhiteRa ingame, okay let's do this properly and threw his SCVS into WhiteRa's base to give him the win for game 1 and 2. Essentially making the score 2-2 and a level playing field again. They've now doubled their amount of followers in less than an hour. Wow.

Yesterday he got knocked to losers open bracket for not showing on time of his game vs epgimix (0-2 loss). Today he fought his way until he faced epgimix (got knocked later) again but there is a rule that basically starts the game a BO 7 0-2 in favor of epgimix. In a display of sportsmanship, epgimix sends his SCVs to white-ra's base loosing 2 games in row, resetting the series. Then White-ra thakes the other 2 games

If Rain had been alittle less behind or better at Macro he may have been able to hit a timing while Kiwi only had collossi and a couple zealots. Rain was not playing. As I already said cooldown wasn't a factor because he owned the entire map and had vision everywhere. He knew he could maintain 200/200 off his gates. He had about 15.

One side microing a lot more and the other macroing a lot more. Although it is a lot less extreme of a difference in SC2. I don't think anyone legitimately pretends that Protoss is mechanically demanding, but watching top level protoss (mainly MC comes to mind) use clutch Sentry forcefields and Phoenix harass is pretty impressive (NASL Grand Final vs Puma = wow). If the Protoss player screws up their forcefields it will easily lose them the game on the spot or put them behind in the engagement. But conversely, good forcefields will make engagements that look like the Protoss player should lose come out even, or even on top. Overall the deathball style just doesn't require as much micro. Zealots in front, 1 a+click, forcefields to split the army as much as possible, move the injured colossus back from vikings/press T and storm the trapped army (depending on if you're using colo. deathball or templar).
