I think Losira has a chance, he has that frantic risky style. Probably will come down to Nestea's response to it. I'd like to see Nydus.

I like new winners. I guess I am rooting for Losira then? heh

Haha, are you seriously blaming the GSL for the quiality of the games. That's completely out of their hands. There's nothing wrong with the format.

No it's not. You give a week to prepare you get blowouts. It's no accident GSTL is so much better.

Not to mention BO1's at beginning at beginning get rid of late starters and adaptive players.

GSL is a terrible format.

Wow your logic is so retarded. People want to see the highest level of games possible. One way is to give ample time for players to prepare builds. Its not GOM's fault that one player cant outplay another when they have the same time to prepare. What would you suggest then? GSL every single day, and a season finishes in 2 weeks?

Pretty much. MLG does it in 3 days with a double elimination. GSL milks it for a month with single elim.

I'm not a expert on ZvZ but i think it evolved past ling/bane and roach.
Its all about infestors now.

It's all about mutas and spines on large maps now. Infestors-based army becomes a liability instead when attacking into a shitload of spines, while the defending side only need a infestor or 2 to support the spines. I predict at least muta vs muta zvz game if losira has the intention to play a macro game or 2.

Zerg is still worse. Losira and Nestea just work harder, and play much better than everyone else to overcome the huge deficit between Zerg and the other races. (amidoingitrite?)

I don't mind the Zerg fest, but I do mind the IM fest in the finals.

At least qxc got'em.

Terrans and Protoss better start practicing harder and try to catch up. Clearly, allowing the zerg to drone up too hard (aka no apparent pressure) or doing risky builds that has holes everywhere is not the way to do it.

Lol, Byun was constantly dropping when he could and any significant pressure that protoss puts on is an all-in, or is deflected by sporecrawlers. Why are you acting like zergs somehow practice harder than all terrans and protoss? They just discovered the timings of any effective push finally, the most effective ones got nerfed, and now zergs know exactly when to drone to get a big lead, exactly like what happened in Nestea v Hongun. If all the best BW players came to SC2, the zerg players would be unstoppable just like Nestea seems.

There are just too many game design flaws. Not even a balance whine, hopefully the design team noticed a lot of stupid things going on in the game that can be easily improved.

Protoss in China has been having a lot of success doing what many people would call an all-in, consisting of mass blink stalkers into a 3rd while opening up to tech options. Terrans have variety of different openings that indirectly constrains the zerg on their mobility and somewhat "control" what their opponent can do. For example, hellions gives the terran a lot of map control, which gives the terran an element of surprise and allow him to put indirect pressure. Going reaper opening makes sure that the zerg does not overdrone and can also give map control. Doing technical timing attacks that exploit drone and tech timings of the zerg also forces you to put pressure, regardless of whether you completely commit to the attack or just pull back after doing soft pressure.

Truth is, top zergs are ahead of the metagame curve right now and terrans and protoss DO need to work harder in order to catch up.

Also to your BW players comment, Flash can come to sc2 and play terran and will still rape. Nestea is just doing things that people are not used to seeing. He is what you call someone "ahead" of the curve, much like savior was when he was in his prime.

I think everyone knows how good NesTea's ZvZ is, but LosirA is also pretty outstanding at the match-up. I don't think it will be the 4-0 everyone else think it will be, I predict a close match but I cannot say who will win as I thought LosirA's ZvT was horrendous, yet look what just happened.

Saturday is going to be a great day. Wake up to GSL finals with Tasteless and then after it's time to watch MLG.

:Edit: So Infestors were barely used tonight, Broodlords just plain weren't. I find both of these units under-represented and should be buffed to accommodate for this.

And in my opinion that lowers the level of play because when you get to the finals you'll be very tired

It's not whining, it's just making humorous references to the 8 months of Zerg despair and outrage that have plagued every sc2 forums.

Why are people hating on a ZvZ finals so much?

It's going to be between arguably the 2 best players in the match up (Zenio has higher elo, Losira has a better winrate though), it's very tense to watch, both players know each other well so the chances of something new being needed are pretty high, and there's a lot more flexibility in midgame compositions lately with lategame continuing to be explored.

I'm actually really looking forward to it o-o

I agree. Even if it's not close and one player outlcasses another, it'll still be some of the highest level ZvZ we've seen yet.
