Yes, not even that they hope the stalkers fire at them first but just reduce the ability of the protoss to target specific units like the hydras in the back.
Edit; yeah also to induce fear of baneling drops too.

I don't understand this predictable FE into Stargate (almost always). It's so easly defended by the zerg and meanwhile he can just outmacro the protoss ...

If you have a better solution that gives you safety against zerg all-ins against forge expands and allows you to harass the zerg, i'm open.

Eh, how is that? Any units from a stargate automatically means the Zerg has to get more queens/spores/hydras. Taking a 3rd is dependent on map and the aggressiveness of the stargate units, so out-macroing is pretty difficult as you can get caught droning really easily or prevented from expanding.

I'm not a protoss player but wouldn't fast blink with sentry support and a few immortals do the trick?

Could someone tell me: Is there any statistics on how much a player whom starts at the bottom and of which his workers get to the minerals faster after they're produced, earn on said fact?
Meaning: A zerg at top has to have his workers run from bottom of his hatch to top to the minerals, whilst a zerg with a hatch at the bottom of the map has his drones spawn right at the minerals.

Protoss going quick Twilight Council can apply more pressure with Blink Stalkers, DTs and transitions so smoothly into HT/Archon which really screws around with Zerg's army compositions.

orb is definitely a lot more critical of the players than most casters

I wish that more people would be like that, at least casters that know the game well like Artosis. It might not work as well for example Totalbiscuit.

Nope, by the time this composition hits, zerg already has 3 bases saturated, and then they can spit out the perfect counter unit composition and keep trading armies. Of course it's everything a matter of many more things, but in general it hits way too late.

It can, but you're not particulary safe from zerg all-ins, on top of that, if zerg gets the scout, it won't do any damage because of burrow. It only works really well on crevasse thanks to the gas, it allows you to get fast +2 blink and a good stalker count at an early time. It allows you to strike exactly before the third of zerg is saturated. But with 4 gases to saturate, everything is delayed. In theory it's a good build, but the timing is to late, and only works out of surprise.
