They force the Zerg to build units and defenses instead of drones and tech. However, the Terran delays his own expansion/tech in the process. But he still has to make some zerglings and probably a spine just in case, but the strength of the opener is in the followup with either a 4 rax pressure or 2 fact blue flame helions like in that game. You don't cut scvs and you expand pretty quick anyway so it's not too much weaker in econ than a 1 rax expand | ||

"Forcing units" does nothing if they can drone safely after. Your marines can't retreat generally, zerglings are much faster. Like how it was 9 vs 16, and then he went 17 to 16 just after he said "And he's way behind". He was no doubt, just larvae is intensely good at droning. | ||
