Yeah, most great players have weaker matchups, but they're still pretty decent in them. Bomber's TvZ, MVP's TvP, Losira's ZvT, but sage's PvP just seems downright awful....

Well, Losira's ZvT used to be absolute shit. Same with HuK's PvP. ... hopefully Sage can work on that a little bit. At least he's not like an InCa. One good match-up, two shitty ones. Lol.

Not certain if that's the case anymore, after he discovered how great the mass-muta style can be. TOP's TvZ is monstrous, yet Losira defeated him quite handily imo.

Yeah, it's far, far better to have 2 good matchups and 1 shitty one than the opposite - I may be stating the obvious, but it really makes all the difference in how people perceive you, since you're either good at the majority of the MU's or good at a minority (in the case of 3 MUs, only one) of matchups. You become this player that kind of takes out "overall better" players by luck of the draw. I'd like to make it clear that I'm not talking about Sage and Yonghwa in particular, since I actually think Yonghwa has 2 strong MUs himself - PvP and PvT (no idea about his PvZ), but I still think Sage's PvT and vZ are stronger, and more entertaining overall. Thus it's not so bad to see Sage losing to Yonghwa like that, but imagine if Inca knocked out MC T_T

That's why I said it used to be absolute shit. He's been doing very well lately in his ZvT, though his past performance in that match-up was so horrible that his win-percentage is still sitting at a 41%. ![]() Same with Huk, really. His PvP is still at a 35.7%. I remember that series where he won against San. It was pretty hilarious because San's PvP win-percentage actually went up after he lost the series. Pretty horrible.

Where did I say Sage was a great player? Your response is irrelevant to what we're talking about. Who is "we"? Does that include AxionSteel, the one who made the original post? Does he not get a say in what the two of you are talking about? At that, were you really "talking" about anything, at least anything more complicated than a very simple and obvious complaint about PvP?

Does he not get a say in what the two of you are talking about? At that, were you really "talking" about anything, at least anything more complicated than a very simple and obvious complaint about PvP? Well, conversations have purposes, and I feel that my purpose was clear: to state that the unfairly general declaration of how Sage was "completely outclassed" should be specified to only PvP. My point in calling his response irrelevant was because I don't see how whether or not Sage is a "great player" had anything to do with what we were previously talking about. So, sure, he gets to say as much as he wants, but when it's something that seems irrelevant to the initial conversation, I'd rather point it out rather than going down another tangent (which happens a lot on the internet).
