Yet everyone is OK with an MLG winner getting Code S automatically. How is that any different? There were 2 ways to get into the NASL finals, getting 1 of 15 spots through league play, or 1 spot through a VERY hard open tournament. It doesn't negate anything that happened during league play. Those players got great notoriety for themselves and their teams, etc. You'd much rather be in the league, than have to come through the open. It's funny, because I feel like the open was in place because of all the complaining over the 50 players who were chosen so it gave a way for anyone left out to still get in, and now everyone is complaining that that player won. lol. | ||
