asd just took out my two favorite players. I think I will add him to my anti-team.

Signed.

Jinro you played awesomely, with a little better concentration and execution you will own anyone trying to beat you.

Better luck next time Jinro and Sheth, you have kept you code A rank so next month is still waiting! You're great players, you can crush face next tourney and show them who is BOSS!

He got overwhelmed by a couple of 2-base mass-gateway timing attacks, but the second game in particular was very close and could easily have gone either way.

He has a bad habit of leaving overlords in vulnerable positions which cost him in the second game, and in the first he didn't have his defensive research/production ready in time.

3gate expo-->pressure first game, he lost his hatch and did a counter that didn't do too much damage, from there he was pretty behind but stuck with it.

game2- he was macroing up onto 3 bases when toss did an 8 gate +2 blink stalker timing, sheth held on for a while but ended up losing a few overlords which ended up costing him the game because he couldn't reinforce during the engagement.

all in all he played well given the nerves, just a few small mistakes in both games cost him. i have faith he could've taken the series though.

He could've definitely taken game 2, I believe he missed a larva inject here and there, but game 1 was a wash, Sheth played terribly that game.

He has a habit of giving away zerglings for free. Especially when playing against protoss, you can't just give away zerglings for hull damage and 3-4 roaches at a time to bad rally points.....

He also has mechanical issues. For example, sending 10-15 zerglings into an a-move attack on Protoss' expansion in XNC, which is walled off and has a cannon, and letting the zerglings attack the pylon/zealots defending it until all the zerglings are dead.

Also, he likes to take an entire control group of zerglings and "scout" with it. AKA repeatedly sacrificing 4-5 zerglings running into a stalker army and backing off again.

There was also this one time where Sheth had a clear runby of zerglings but "danced" (aka indecisive) in range of the cannons and lost half of them, while giving Puzzle more than enough time to warp in zealots, which promptly cleaned up Sheth's half-army.

Misrallied alot of his units as well (roaches mainly), and lost ALOT of overlords. When I see Sheth's games, it just seems so sloppy for a zerg in the GSL. By the time the deciding fight actually occurs, his army is smaller than his opponents...

However, I have no doubt that if he wants it badly enough, he can do it. JINRO FIGHTING!!!!

Gotta completely disagree with you there. He cleaned up some of the encounters so well in both games tonight that he either significantly narrowed the supply deficit (game 1) or took the lead (game 2). In game 1, the 2 banshees effectively put asd so far ahead that he couldn't lose without making a major blunder. In game 2, Jinro sat around in the center because he *thought* he was behind when he was actually a little ahead. He made some uncharacteristic micromanagement blunders, but as he already mentioned, he wasn't at his peak mentally today.

In the previous series Jinro's mechanics were completely solid, and his execution of the push in game 2 to take out the Protoss' expansion was pretty much perfect (esp building bunkers at the last second to block the path of the Protoss' zealots).

I think he has a great chance at returning to Code S within the next few months.

True, but can't blame the guy for being randomly bracketed into that. He has solid TvT. Jinro & Boxer will both be back.

asd played ridiculously well that game, that was very very impressive.

thats true. i was very impressed about how calm he looked in his games. just patiently trying to get an advantage with using his mobility advantage. backdoors on cross and through the hallway on xel naga.
having such a strike in your base over and over again makes you really feel uncomfortable. maybe thats why jinro thought he was behind.

Jinro has never been the greatest mechanical player (lower end apm), always been more of a strategist.

First game puzzle did warpgate timing and sheth wasent even ready.
Second game puzzle did a 8 gate blink stalker 2 base push sheth almost held it but a bad arch when he was very close from pushing puzzle back gave puzzle a great advantage and sheth had to back off to his creep and left some random overlords get pick up about 8 and gave him a huge supply block and he wasent able to hold.

It was so hard to see the 2/3/4 helions going to kill al the scv's at the side expansion and fail everytime

Also sad to Sheth loose too

Dammit i was hoping to be happy for at least one of the 2 foreigners.

Keep fighting Jinro!!

I missed the second game (stupid dinner) so i have nothing really constructive to add. But i did feel you were performing ok this season.

Just a shame that you have to wait so long to avenge

People talking about bad mechanics have to realize that when things go completely unlike what you had planned, mechanics tend to suffer.

Let me list the things that went completely fuckign wrong game 1:

- It started on th e WRONG FUCKING MAP.
- Restart on the right map, I forget depot and have to use a calldown (HUGE)
- Barracks is supposed to scout for banshee but I fail because I dont know, Im tilting at about the depot probably.
- Because of the banshee I cant take my tower, which means I cant control the center, which means I cant take gold, which means I cant just put 2 vikings in each air space and be safe from all counters, which means my ENTIRE GAME PLAN for the map is out the window.

Yes, everything suffered after that because I had no idea how to react, because not once in practice did I FORGET A DEPOT AND NOT SCOUT BANSHEE.

Game 2 the biggest issue was letting my 2nd banshee die for NO reason at all, which forced me to make a 3rd b anshee, which meant I had no vikigns to protect my banshee..... As for people saying I shouldnt have attacked the mraauders in the hellion sneaks, I dont think you guys realized they were all red HP, because the observer doesnt have HP bars on - but I do.

I also couldnt sleep the entire night before this (I dunno when I fell asleep, but Im guessing around 6 or 7 am after laying in bed for many hours) which made things even worse in terms of being able to focus when things didnt go right.

It annoys me when people see these games and think its some kind of mechanical deficiency, when what you should be pointing at is the fact that I made retarded errors that lead into terrible situations, errors that are so easy to not make that they are completely unrelated to mechanics.

it was bad play, but not because of mechanics, it was bad play because I made mistakes which greatly altered the nature of the game and I had no idea how to adjust for it, nor am I sure I could have in game 1 since the entire build was made for taking tower control.

I wanna give a shoutout to asd for being awesomely manner and agreeing to play the other map pool despite not having practiced metal (I didnt practice metal much either but thats still more than not practicing). I have played like 6 TvTs on dual site EVER, so Im pretty happy I didnt have to play it (we were given different map lists, Xelnaga Crossfire, Metal for me and Dual Site, Crossfire, Xelnaga for him, he agreed to play the first list as long as metal was 3rd).
