I know his style is shaky but he's clearly one of the best players. A couple weeks ago isn't right now. MKP is in a slump right now. Just like MMA is.
Losing three games (to Alicia, Losira and Puma no less) after barely getting knocked out of the semis of a GSL is a slump now?
Wut?

Polt seriously renamed himself "optimus" ?! I dont know if I like it or not.

Wow, I come back expecting to watch a tense Game 5-7 and then I find out it's already over. Blegh... guess I'll have to catch the VODs now.
Oh, interestingly enough PRIME have still yet to record a win in GSTL history.

Losing three straight matches is a slump, albeit a short one; that's why we have the word.

Omg.. what the fuck is up with all the ID changes. I just found realized Puma is now Gentleman. Can someone tell him how terrible it is?
I was thinking it was just Drazerk's joke in the LR, but wtf man... seriously.

Can Artosis seriously call Hwanni and John up and do that "ID Creation Seminar" that he's been planning for seasons now?

Slump- a period of time when player or team is not performing well or up to expectations.
Has he been performing well in his past few matches? Nope. Hence a slump.

But he is in a slump. Even if it's a short one right now, but it's a slump.
I liken it to the so called "Superbowl Hangover" in football. He got up really high yet again (as did MMA) and he's fallen into a small slump after it. It happens. But you have to admit it's a slump.
He does this all the time anyway.

He got up really high yet again (as did MMA) and he's fallen into a small slump after it. It happens. But you have to admit it's a slump. He does this all the time anyway. No, this is flat out wrong. If he lost 3 Bo3s in a row, I might agree with you. He's however only lost a total of 3 single games. (now that I've checked TLPD, seems like he's on a 7 game losing streak, which might be a bit of a slump... but we'll get back to this later.). Anyway losing 3 separate Bo1s does not imply a slump.
It would be similar to anyone losing 2-0 in a Bo3 and then losing one game in the GSTL. How exactly is losing 2 separate series a slump? And comparing SC2 with football is not a very good comparison. Football games are pure Bo1s (until the playoffs if I'm correct). SC2 games are built on a series of sets, similar to tennis. Also SC2 is a lot more volatile in a sense that in football the chances of the better team winning is higher.
Now to get back to whether MKP's 7 game losing streak is a slump, remember that 3 of the losses were against MMA after being 2-0 up. So he went from losing an extremely close match to MMA (who at that time was in his prime), to losing a Bo3, then losing another "technical" Bo3, then losing a closely fought Bo1 to PuMa. That's 4 separate series, 2 of which were rather close. I would hardly call that a slump.
EDIT: To make things clearer... a slump is a very consistent and noticeable loss of form, even if there were some victories in between. That means Boxer's drop from Code S to Code B is a slump. MVP's drop to Code A was a slump. Calling a couple of losses a slump cheapens the meaning of the word.
It would have implied that MC's loss in GSL 6, and subsequent loss in the GSTL to MMA was a slump. We know that wasn't the case because he went on to do extremely well at Homestory Cup, MLG and StarsWars (although he didn't win them all)
