Thats a bunch of goblygook. An opening is not a strategy, LOL. Its like saying a foundation is a house. It isn't. And all the smiley faces in the world aren't going to make it so.
A foundation is a part of the house... It's actually the most important part... It's actually the most ridiculously important part of all buildings.... In fact, everything above the foundation is customizable and purely aesthetic more times than not. The foundation really is the big deal when it comes to house. I mean, it's okay that you didn't know that. You don't seem to know much about anything anyway. LOL, Yes the foundation is an important part of the house, But so is the roof, and the walls, and many other things that make up a house. And yet the fact remains, a foundation, is not a house. Just as an opening is not a strategy. The roof is actually not an important part of the house--it's simply preferred. As are the walls and all the other "stuff" The only "required" thing for a building is the foundation. Everything else is purely aesthetics. I know this is a huge offtopic but as an architect I simply can't get this one slide. What the hell are you talking about? A house is defined by walls and a ceiling, foundation isn't even an used element in some cultures and some ways of building. Cement foundations the way it's used in Modern first world countries are not used by all cultures--but that doesn't mean other houses "don't have a foundation" A lot of houses in the Philippines for example use timber to create the base for a house by way of multiple legs to hold up the rest of the house. The walls and ceiling could be anything you really want it to be. Any material, any shape, any strength. In all cases the steps in building it is the same. Step 1: Make a foundation. Step 2: Look at architect's design to figure out how the rectangles and trapezoids fit on top of the flat slab of wood/concrete/etc... you have in place. Construction wise that is. Remove the foundation and you're in a tent. EDIT: Assuming you're the guy building the house that is. Most people just live in it. Houses made of rammed earth. Floating houses. Your argument is invalid. Besides, construction-wise, the foundations aren't the only elements that make a house. You still need pillars, beams and yes, walls and ceilings when these are structural elements (see: every single building made between the beggining of mankind and the European Gothic period). Every single one of these elements is as important, if not more, than the foundation. And your steps really show how you have no idea what you're talking about. Make a random foundation and then look at what the architect designed? The foundations ARE designed by the architect to attend specific structural needs of that building. On the other hand, who gives a fuck? I wasn't talking to you, was I? Does it really matter? I'm talking to you... say something now cities. But on topic with this thread...when was the last time MKP advanced through group stages? This is starting to get ridiculous and I don't know if I can defend him as one of the greatest terrans anymore.
He does well in bo3/5s against even the best players(like MC), honestly bo1's are fucking retarded and GOM should change their format. That said, it is his fault for not taking the matches seriously. It honestly felt like MarineKing vs Losira was some weird team monobattle showmatch where marineking picked the worst unit on the worst map possible
We'll see how he does in GSTL/next GSL, he just came off a semi final where the other 3 greats(mc, nestea, mvp) fell earlier than him as well.

Fuck. I passed out right before the Alicia vs. MKP game. First BoxeR, then FruitDealer, and now MKP. God fucking dammit.
Thanks to Jinro for keeping this day from becoming a complete wash-out. Ugh.

Don't forget MMA... and July.
Here's to hoping Ryung does not get knocked out :/.
MMA should have been in Code S, after winning MLG.

Yeah, I said CoCa would advance out of his group.

I really liked CoCa's play though (and actually did want him to advance), so there's always that, and Genius cleaned up his act pretty well. Great to see a Protoss not go deathballs every once in a while.
God, next thing you know, NaDa won't be advancing through his group.

MKP Noooo!! At least I predicted TOP and Genius making it out of their group.

MKP can only do well in every other GSL tournament he participates in. GSL 1, wasn't in it, GSL 2 he got second, GSL 3 was out in Ro8 (not that bad I guess), GSL Jan got Second, GSL Mar out in Ro32, WC got second, May out in Ro32, ST got to semifinals, now he's out in the Ro32 again. So, he'll do well next time!

Sorry about the offtopic discussion people, I'm kinda new here and didn't know where the PM system was.

And people who can't defend him as a great terran anymore, I guess doing great in BoX is better than Cliding every groupstage, but you have to bo1 before the bo3 .

Damn Losira ruined by liquibet.... totally thought MKP would beat him & Coca, who I thought would slaughter Alicia, and Losira would beat Alicia & Coca to take the second spot. Most of my scenario was correct, except the bit where Losira never had to play Alicia
Ah well. Alicia proved yet again that he really doesn't know how to play PvZ. I don't know why he persists with these Stargate builds, I don't recall them ever working very well. It doesn't help that he's become very predictable and he doesn't seem to have much range, either he goes for a fast Stargate or very heavy Gateway pressure, both of which can be shut down with Roach + Ling w/Queens to support. Was pretty funny to watch Coca almost throw that game on Tal'darim away when he persisted with Ultra/ling/bling when Alicia had Archon/Immortal/Colossus, though. Would have loved to have seen a late game Muta switch, since springing 30 Mutas against very light anti-air would have been fun. Got the job done eventually though.

This happens to be my worst liquibet start so far, only CoCa was someone that I could predict.
It really looks like SlayerS as a whole are slumping pretty hard (losing outright, or winning in pretty unimpressive games).
The Round of 16 so far looks pretty non-threatening. I guess it says something about the safe and solid style though that players such as Clide/Tester/Ensnare/Genius can continue to survive Code S and still give generally mediocre games.
Hoping for the remaining groups to give some good games (and for Mvp to make a run).

So many upsets between Code B, Code A, and Code S.
Nice to see the level of SC2 players is constantly evolving, it really bodes well for the future.

i figured fruitdealer would lose it makes me sad. wish he'd take training more seriously.

Losira was on fire, he absolutely destroyed MKP!! There must be a lot of unhappy MKP fanboys! :p

Not really. Since best players can lose really easy to players that shouldn't really be on that lvl, it more hurts esports than it helps.

Players playing poorly = bad for esports
I agree. So next time Alicia should find a decent Zerg to practice his builds with.

If 'best' players lose to players 'that shouldn't really be on that lvl,' maybe you need to reexamine your ranking system.

Damn, I fell asleep before the games began
Surprised to see which players dropped to the up/down matches though

Yet again MC is the only hope for toss in GSL. Huk has been doing great but I don't think his PvZ and PvT will be enough to win him a GSL.

Frankly last season between Min, Line, Coca and I think I forgot one, I still can't differentiate them really (in term of style and skill level). Well at least now I'll remember that Coca is good.
