The Round of 16 so far looks pretty non-threatening. I guess it says something about the safe and solid style though that players such as Clide/Tester/Ensnare/Genius can continue to survive Code S and still give generally mediocre games.
Hoping for the remaining groups to give some good games (and for Mvp to make a run). I think SlayerS is suffering through a severe loss of morale lately. With MMA losing the Super Tournament 0-4, then losing the GSTL, and then having MMA and BoxeR both drop to Code B, it's gotta be tough on them.
At the very least, they're better off than WMF though. Who now has a grand total of 0 players in the GSL.

For the longest time his PvP was considered his weak point, I guess beating MC and Naniwa at Homestory (and Socke at DH) changed that a little lol... HuK is a much better player than 3 months ago. Hope to see him make it out of group stage.

I wish Fruitdealer would go back to oGs and have TheWind whip him back into shape.
As to all the cries of "unfair" over Alicia and MarineKingPrime, remember that it's REALLY hard to get into Coda A and REALLY hard to get into Code S
As much as TL likes to make fun of Coca and his ilk, they are ridiculously good players who would dominate the foreigner scene if let loose there. Moon was laughed at here on TL. So he decided to head out to the great foreigner scene and he owns up in Dreamhack, NASL, MLG, etc.... Slaughtering noobs like nothing. And he couldn't even get out of Code A. Think about that.

Frankly last season between Min, Line, Coca and I think I forgot one, I still can't differentiate them really (in term of style and skill level). Well at least now I'll remember that Coca is good.
I didn't expect CoCa to face Alicia twice, but I was pretty confident he would beat Alicia and make it hard for Losira/Marineking. But things turned out better than expected.
I've been championing Violet (probably your fourth man) and CoCa ever since I saw them back in Code A. I don't trust Line yet; his decision-making in the mid/lategame is way too inconsistent for my tastes. Min's been a roller-coaster for his entire stay in the GSL.

Why is everyone so quick to count Genius out? Honestly the guy never fails to impress me due to his consistancy, whenever he loses its gennerally to top tier opponents such as Nada and most importantly his style genuinely involves minimal risk.

Genius hasn't been champion material since Blizzcon, and a safe style is not necessarily the best style in all circumstances.

So uh, how do you miss the Nexus cancel?

Maybe not champion material, but he has almost always been good enough to at least get out of the group play. I usually LB for him in these situations.

True, but I was responding to a response about Protoss winning GSL.

It's ok MKP fans. Today's result was predestined.
GSL Jan - 2nd place GSL Mar - out in 1st round World Champ - 2nd place GSL May - out in 1st round Super tournament - semifinals GSL July - out in 1st round
In order to make a deep run into the GSL MKP must lose in the first round of every other tournament. Next time he'll add to his silver collection for sure.

Just glad to see Losira make it through. I think his late game ZvT is actually quite good, but his early game kind of sucked in the past - so not very surprised that he beat MKP in a ~20 min game. He made Polt look like crap in the only macro game in their series in the ST too...
Think it's time for Losira to get a big win under his belt

Tbh, SlayerS isn't really impressive in individual leagues. Alicia is the only one in code S, Ryung and Yugioh are in code A still (after 3 seasons), MMA, Boxer, and min are all in code B now. They perform way better as a team than they do as individuals for some reason.

@penguin
because genius hasn't been able to produce the kind of results he produced last year. Because he hasn't won a gsl title. Because on the gstl he hasn't been a powerhouse like Dongragu or MMA. He beat Loner in a big tourney and that's about it.
I think he's an amazingly solid player with incredibly solid mechanics. But much like Polt or Nestea, he just isn't sexy enough in his play.
Polt and Nestea had to win GSL titles to win respect. It's now Genius's turn.

nerves most likely.
Cutting probe production then using a pylon instead of a zealot to wall off the ramp preventing probes from being transferred shows that he was planning to cancel. But he just caved.
