I am 100% sure that this is not intended. There are always guys (like me) who bought the HD stream to support the event even if my connection can't handle HD. you don't want to punish those guys

This is just bad taste. I doubt it's intended. They just screwed up the feed in the booth. Though it's taking a loooooong time to fix... Yeah exactly, it's taking so long to fix, not to mention I got that feeling immediately after the stream switched.
