When you have 2 groups and have a half flank (What kind of happened with the blink) your units are already in position. The two groups spread out tot the center and get a really fast concave. The zerg has to do it manually by walking and can't get a big enough concave as fast. Kind of a weird explanation, but hopefully you understand  | ||

He blinked part of his army forward (down of of the alleys), the other was left near the tower, which gave him great positioning vs Idra's forces at the topof the gold ramp. | ||
