Non stop rines/scv CC@20/27 2 more rax@22/27 2 gas@24 depot@25 1 techlab when the 2 rax finished, start stim still constant rines from 3 rax first marauder@35 techlab and reactor@38, OC lift at natural now the 2 techlab rax go marauders non stop, start concshell then shields ghost academy@44/54 start 2 ghosts @62/78 (about 8 minutes in) engbay and resume marauders +1 weapon started push xD (9 minutes in) with 18 rines, 5 marauders, (+2 just finished but not yet with the army) and 2 ghosts The push hits at 9:20 because of metalo close air. It's good to note that the first observer pop just in time and scouts the ghosts who lurk far behind the army, which allow squirtle to split his sentries, but MKP target the 2 with the most energy I think, then insta snipe the sentry which make a guardian shield <3 He's 94 food to 83. Watching his money shows me that the build is extremely well timed, never goes over 100 except for the ghosts. The 3 raxes have zero downtime (except again when saving money for the ghosts, but the downtime is a few seconds only as marauders finish building nearly perfectly in time) So MKP should have at least 2 more marauders at this point, but I think it's way too subtle to detect with scouting the front.

Yeah not without applying pressure, which would be the only way to view the decreased marauder count or increased marine count, and then again not guaranteed to work anyway. When you are code anything versus two time GSL finalist (in short incongruent skill level), you need to pick a specific direction and stick with it, and hope you can outplay your opponent over a short amount of time to minimize the obvious weakness and milk the advantages of all its worth. Squirtle wouldnt have been able to win going toe to toe with MKP anyway. Thats kind of how ro64 should be. I am surprised he didnt 4 gate but then again 4 gate verse terran is meh to begin with, and MKP knows that and knows that squirtle knows that, so fast expand was a good metagame choice by MKP.

I think this build counters very well the nexus first, and perhaps the one gate expo.

You are pretty much giving up any sort of ability to apply any serious pressure in the early game and scouting and map control as well until higher tech is opened up. One gate is pretty much just as greedy except on really big maps where the investment is mitigated. Huk seems to really like 1 gate expo since he does it quite a lot, he has had mostly success with it except to really early allins with all worker count, in which case the obvious happens.

of course I have no idea how the remaining game(s) transpired. so FD might have just ended up being rolled over by late game Toss, but there's been several ZvPs in the last month where banelings have been so good for the Zerg player.

The other game fruitdealer lost was to a 7 gate blink stalker +2 timing attack that was not messed with in any way by fruitdealer and dealer had only two spines and was taking his third.

MKP back in form. One day people will realise players like MC, Nestea, MKP don't play overpowered races, they're just overpowered players. Quoting this shimmering beacon of hope amongst the chaos of this thread. Great to see MKP taking down protoss like it ain't no thang. He's got a rough ROUGH bracket tho, but if he makes it to the finals I think he'll give us a damn good show. I bet Inca wishes he had MKP's bracket. pretty much pure toss until the RO4 (unless Min is better than I'm giving him credit for which is a distinct possibility).
