You guys are missing the point, he was 10 SCVs down and obviously behind from the beginning. Still, he was able to catch up in SCV count at some point and have roughly the same army size..

Revenge for Sky!
You mean last week? ;D
I get what you meant, but Xigau has a good reference on what MvP does under pressure and how he works from both MLG and GSL .

As i thought, MVP vs XiGua finals =)
I think XiGua got a realy nice chance to win this! Would be awesome to see him in the Blizzard Cup too!

they have good speed skaters though. Their speed skating in fact almost caused an international Fiasco between the US and Korea, with the 2002 Olympics. The Korean athlete was ahead of the US athlete, but the Korean athlete was disqualified for blocking the US athlete. South Korea protested this, and lots of feelings were hurt. Yeah I remember that man. I love speed skating. =) apolo anton ohno =] Check out Steven Bradury win in 2002 Olympics - Short track speed skating. (that is the same race you re referring to)
I saw all those races and from the sound of it GTR might have seen that one too.
Lots of speed skating fans? o.O or just Olympic fans?

I just spend free time watching and reading about SC2. Part of someone's job as a caster should involve doing research on the players who they will be casting, not just casting the games. That way if they choose not to spend their leisure time reading up, they will still not make clueless statements like Kas as a newcomer or XiGua as an unknown. Some people do a very good job at this. I know d.Apollo often makes extensive note sheets on players before tournaments. I don't mean to hate on Tasteless because I do enjoy his casting. He is very entertaining. He could just be a little more informed as well. you realize they are more busy than you? Do you travel between various countries 2-5 times a month casting games from hundreds of players? People need to cut them a break. Personally I think the company doing the show should have a bio for each player including major results and recent results. Do you think pro sports broadcasters do all their research? There are so many times I have seen a call up in the NHL that no one knows anything about. Shit happens.

Of course you don't want to criticize play as a caster because it only hurts the growth of the sport, but they need to stop saying "crushing" or "the most amazing play I've seen out of such and such." Cheese is a part of the game, but of course Korean players are better at it because it's standard on the Korean ladders and being proficient at it is a skill you should have, but no way does it mean a player is great that they can pull off the multitasking and micro required to be really good at it. Of course MVP is a fantastic player and has the other skills required in the game, and congrats on getting to the finals. This is a complaint about Tasteosis and has nothing to do with MVP. It just gets me thinking back to the Fin game they cast the other day. The fark? They are hyping up the show and Tastosis are a bit biased for MVP and Nestea. There is always biaseness in games. They are currently the best duo caster in SC2 and there are obviously flaws but no one is perfect okay.
Of course no one is perfect. I didn't say they are bad, I said I would prefer if they wouldn't rave about how awesome and dominant a player is when they pull off cheese, and this has nothing to do with a certain player, they do it all the time and in fact these games were a much more subdued and tolerable case. When they cast the Fin game and were saying he looks like the best in the world and they want him to face MVP in the GSL finals next month. Usually this backfires for them with players such as Clide which is ok for that to happen a few times but eventually people will not respect what they say.

Actually they have a whole team behind them and yes they do have all that info. o_O
That's the thing. This is still amateur work and they don't have that luxury as I pointed out earlier. One day maybe.

I think he's right by saying informing themselves about the SC2 global scene is part of their job. Not even something to catch up on while resting, it's their job.

Is there some kind of broadcasting conflict for the SC1 matches? Because every time they come on the stream goes dead for me.

You know he has been thirsting for this after what happened at Guangzhou where he only went because Loner couldn't and went out 0-3 in his group, and then couldn't go to Blizzcon because of Visa issues and was replaced by Loner. Now he is undefeated in this tourney and has the ultimate opportunity to make his name internationally tomorrow.
