Did NesTea scout the stargate? Or was that spore created due to pure starsense?

Shortly after i posted it squirtle used it to beat idra in 3 games at IEM (he must have read my thread lol, jk of course) either way this isnt that strategy its a air play expansion build.

Haha 6 angry protoss players it seems. :D More like 6 angry zerg players. "No, how dare a Zerg win! Now people won't believe us when we complain!" No, everyone knows Zerg only ever only wins on TV. + Show Spoiler +Hyperbole + Reference to GomTV not being actually TV

First Void ray is repelled easily, Nestea has 2 spores 1 in each base. AP building Pheonix atm. Nestea lair completes. Hydra den starting AP starts robo.

Funny thing is that protoss has those same restrictions on scouting options in the early game, lair and hallucination/robo should come around the same time / can come around the same time if the zerg isnt being super greedy/ places importance on getting a scout off. In between there both zerg and protoss dont have scouting options, so its just as much of a coin flip for the protoss, how do they know the zerg isnt doing an all in? Also even after getting 6 sentries 3 stalkers and a zealot with the sentry expand it can be very risky to push out you can lose your whole army if zerg is going for aggresive play. Both players have to make coin flips it isnt just exclusive for the zerg and thats where idra is wrong.
So much this. Every race has times where they are uncertain of what the opponent is doing, it is a part of the game.

I'm not saying it's imbalanced, but a possible all-in doesn't really change the dynamics of the match up past early game.
with that said, nestea so awesome and that rush so excellent ;>! How is it an all in? He was taking his third and had already teched.

Hasn't it sort of been established that Hydra drops are the counter to this sort of stargate/expand play?

He built a bunch of hydras and spine crawlers and ran them down the map while overlords spread creep to make a path for them. It's not the exact same thing, but similar enough to say that Nestea didn't make this idea up on his own. Does anyone else remember this game, or did I just make something up?
No you aren't making it up. I said it a couple pages ago also, this IS NOT a completely new strategy. It's just that noone has really found a use for it until now. You can execute the spine rush without lair tech as well. You build a forward hatch, cancel it and there will be a small patch of creep that lasts for a fleeting moment. If you move a queen into position and lay down a tumor on the patch before it disappears you can start spreading creep from that location. I think I saw TheWind do it on his stream months ago. Before people start going wild, just think, if this build actually became commonplace, there would be MANY shortcommings and weaknesses that it has that could be easily abused especially by the warpgate mechanic. Its not a new found strategy and theres a reason its not a standard zerg strat. Nonetheless, Nestea has found a useful way to throw it into a series as a sort of "cheese"

Because you need NesTicles to pull it off.

Robo bay going down for AnyPro, getting +1 weapons. NesTea has +1 ranged weapons done and just finished hydra range. Going for a hydra/ling bust.

Nestea pushing out with hydra/ling

Nestea showing the power of hydras!
