Play by play and srsface casting in every single match when you have 25 best of 3s a week just wears any spectator out. They comment when the action is happening, and point out all the good things players are doing, and in the time between they keep the NASL broadcast entertaining. Also - no production snags tonight aside from occasional stream choppiness, which isn't NASL-based anyway. You guys are doing in three weeks what it took the GSL 3 seasons to achieve, seriously well done. With time I'm hoping for more flashy frills and extras (a la IPL) but for now its just solid, enjoyable watching
Has it been decided yet if it's iNctorp or Gretrol? I think Gretrol is more fitting and rolls off the tongue better.

He is referencing people's freakish need for "professionalism".

yeah, i get what you are saying, but i thought casters should be somewhat neutral. i don't see IPL casters making jokes about a particular player during the game.

I did not write this, and i don't know where it's from but, it is sooo true.

Imagine for a moment, a stocky, squinty eyed man with a bow legged gait and freshly gelled faux hawk, proudly presenting to you 240p streaming video of himself and a small brown man in a gray room, sitting behind a gray desk, the pair speaking in depressingly monotone voices that if attributed a color would be gray as well, talking about Starcraft 2. Then imagine this man trying to sell you the chance to watch them at your leisure in higher definition, though you are certain gray in any resolution would still be gray, you entertain him for a moment.
Once you've managed to sit through his sales pitch that manages to combine all the business savvy of a grubby child selling lemonade in front of his family's home with the overwhelming pity you take on that same child as you look beyond him to the white trash hovel he has called his home for all 8 years of life, some other guy comes around and offers you all that and more for the cost of nothing.
He presents to you a laptop, and upon clicking the link to this man's stream you are greeted with vibrant colors and crystal clarity, for his stream defaults to a resolution 4.5 times that of our stocky friend's.
"But surely there is a catch" you say to yourself. While most everything is free on the internet, no one simply gives things away. "Am I committing some crime by watching your stream for free?" you ask the man. "No" he responds with an easy smile and a shake of his head, "I present it to you as is, for free. I ask only that you watch"
The stocky man begins to sweat, become more and more agitated with the other man's presence. The collar of the t-shirt he is wearing under his suit jacket suddenly feeling more constricting. "Sir," he begins "all that I do is for a higher purpose. It is not for me that I ask for money, it is for esports. For without your money it will surely die."
But you know this cannot be, the other man is offering these esports for free, how could the stocky gentleman paint such a grim picture for esports?
"I had a dream" the stocky man went on, "I saw esports, and it was glorious."
You point the laptop screen in his direction, "was this what you saw in your dream?" You ask him.
His beady little eyes light up for the briefest of moments, before the realization of what he is looking at sets in. His shoulders begin to sag, slowly he begins listing to the right, like a sinking ship. The small brown man races to catch him and with an audible grunt he bears the bigger man's weight. Burying his head in the chest of his small companion, the stocky gentleman begins to quietly sob.

They were neutral. They made fun of bother players in a joking sense, none of it was serious. Even after the game finished they talked about how Rainbow is such a terrific player and did not play up to his potential. I think Rainbow just had a bad day, although TLO was a beast.

A Tale of Two Streams I don't agree so much with this, I personally think NASL is more entertaining and of better production than IPL now

i just tuned in... as good a commentator as Artosis is unfortunately he hasn't won a single match. I think those on Incontrol's back before he got 4th place at MLG is gonna jump on his back >_<

Just mindless bandwagoning.

nasl is getting better for sure but their bumpy start and still laggy stream has hurt their rep and hype. hopefully things will get better! but a good first impression (like IPL) would have been helpful.

Great cast tonight, was loving the banter, first time I've ever watched all 5 matches (usually just don't sit through an entire night of SC, GSL NASL or otherwise).

GOD Sixjax really needs to step up their roster. geez...

I'm convinced part of it is jealousy.
I mean, the man is handsome, physically powerful, skilled, and extremely intelligent. He's the Superman of the SC2 community.
I love the guy, he's hilarious. If only nerds didn't have such low self-esteem.

"ready for this? Rainbow has TWO SCVs but it's ok because he can drop double mules and can build SCVs 2 times faster!"
Luckily I wasn't drinking anything at the time, that just cracked me up so much.

I may be wrong but I do not think that their players have been playing sc2 for as long as most, and certainly not as seriously for as long. Artosis is busy as heck with casting and such also... give them a break. Also, I seem to remember seeing Terran put on some good matches.

I watched a few of the IPL VODs with my favorite players and was not impressed at all. If you're obsessed with looks and resolution I guess you might like it better, but most of the NASL games are more interesting and the commentary just feels more right.
