Only 800 replies for this thread (used to be 3000). Its going down from all the hypes. Now, every game is like the other games. No game looks important. No upset. No one is going to the next round. No one gets butt kicked out of tournament by another player.

IGN ftw.

Can pretty much guarantee that when ro16 comes with all games played at a studio that the numbers will explode. Ign brought 16 players to their studios to make content and people are calling it the best production. Just wait till NASL goes live in the flesh no prerecording and people physically there.

congrats to incontrol!

Does anyone know if these games are played on the Korean servers? I thought NASL had said games had to be played on the NA server, but they might make an exception for two Koreans, I guess.

No, I'm wondering on what server these games are played.

I hope too as you do - at the most suitable one for both sides to play and to record it.
But since there was not korean lang.bnet on the screen, it's not korean...

That was really disappointing play from July.
His lack of patience really messed him up there.

"Big move by July" - hahaha
The NASL can be such a great thing- too bad of the quality of show, but i'll bet it will improve on next editions, I mean, there are the best players in the world, so, gogo NASL

NASL is way too analytical. They spend so much time on map and game analysis. IGN casters may not have the best game knowledge but I'm having so much more fun watching it. NASL should think of SC more as ENTERTAINMENT. Just sayin.

And the sound quality needs to be fixed

No. Absolutely not. Competitive starcraft (or ANY game for that matter) didn't get big because people made it entertaining. Its a competitive game. its about the competition and about the game. Players compete to find out who's the best of the best. And spectators watch because of that alone. If you are looking to purely be entertained go watch reality TV or some other over-produced crap. Please think about what you are trying to say...
You can think I'm wrong, but that's no reason to quit thinking.

Hes right your thinking too small. The amount of people that like what your talking about amounts to about half of the Starcraft community that watches reports right now maybe. Wich amount to about 50k max watching a tournament at any given time ( usually it's far less. The 8k people that like that style watching the nasl yesterday ( and I'm sure some of the ones watching would just prefer entertainment) is a really small number in the grand scheme of things if reports wants to succeed it needs to find a nice middle ground ( like ipl) just because it's what you want doesn't mean that it's what most of the casual sc player or just a casual gamer in general who doesn't play sc2 but is interested in watching it wants.

So I think you wrong in that regard more analytical may keep viewers but it's not gonna bring in new ones. NASL will not survive with it's current rating for very long i mean destiny gets about ad many viewers as nasl does. I think if nasl is pulling in less than 30k viewers a night in the coming months it will be very unlikely that it will succeed. Gsl wc had 300,000 viewers live and even that isn't considered incredible at Least for Korea,. So nasl can try to appeal to a minority and fail or find a middle ground appeal to a greater majority and hopefully succeed if they ever fix all the other issues plaguing the league

Jesus, man. Read my post again. I didn't say they should change it completely, rather adjust.
