Well, it's not really a double standard because both sides of the issues have been discussed in the TSL as well. Fans of any sport are quick to find reasons or excuses for why their favorite players win or lose games. The Koreans lost in TSL 3 because: (1a) The Koreans played like crap for whatever reason (1b) Lag issues caused crappy play (2) The foreigners played amazing The foreigners and Koreans lost to the Chinese in StarsWar 6 because: (1a) The foreigners and Koreans played like crap for whatever reason (1b) Lag Issues caused crappy play (2) The Chinese played amazing It could be true that lag may affect play slightly, but having that as a reason to belittle the achievements of winning/(hopefully) deserving players is absolutely wrong.

Hasn't it been said several times that for StarsWars the servers being played on depended on where the players were and what the players wanted? If I recall it was a pretty flexible system, as sometimes they would alternate servers or play on the same one if there's not much lag between the servers and both players agree. Correct me if I'm wrong though, as I'm a bit tipsy atm.

From my understanding: - KR/CN vs. EU games are played on the NA server. - NA vs. CN games alternate between the two home servers. - KR vs. CN games use a luck-based system. The starting positions of the two players are compared, and the one with the lower spawn point by clock face gets the server advantage.

![]() So I'm totally stealing what Bkrow put in the xiaOt fanclub because it's so sick: On May 22 2011 11:53 bkrow wrote: ![]() Look at that bracket; read those names, and explain why this tournament is not the #1 trending topic on twitter right now! This tournament has shown some insane matchups like ST_Ace vs oGsMC, TLO vs HongUn, HuK vs MorroW, Sen vs Ace, San vs Ret as well as players like MKP, Boxer, White-Ra and many many more. The best part about this tournament is that it showcases some of the incredible Chinese talent with players such as Lovecd and Lovett proving they can tangle with the best in the world. However, no matchup can be more anticipated than one that is happening in less than a week! To put it into some perspective; to get to this place in the finals xiaOt has beaten.. + Show Spoiler + MarineKingPrime. We, NsHs.San and now he faces IdrA Here is a little information on xiaOt; ![]() Show nested quote + xiaOt was a Chinese WC3 orc with a huge amount of fucking talent, but was always lazy in attending international tournaments/didn't have the motivation to take it to the next level. think of him as a chinese ret ;o http://wiki.teamliquid.net/starcraft2/XiaOt
