Did you enjoy it when this happened?
Really, people have a right to be upset if we are robbed of a great finish yeah? But MC won grats to him.
Well said Halvorg. No offence Naz, I just think that both sides of this argument are represented well by this. MC did what he chose to to win and it worked and thats great, but I understand how one could be disappointed by that
The video show something that is illegal tactics. What did mc do that was illegal against the rule of the game?
Holy fuck did you just show me an example of cheating to compare the situations?
My IQ just dropped to 50 trying to understand your point.
I quoted myself earlier in the thread to explain as i dont think people understood me. My point was that both endings were lame to watch, not that MC cheated. did your IQ rise a little again?
play pvp and get 2rax in-based once and you will learn that you ALWAYS check for that kind of stuff. MC took a gamble and it paid off, no need to hate him for it. I love white-ra but you guys are so incredibly critical of mc its pathetic. the guy plays to win and all you can do is QQ about cheese. stop being a bunch of 14 year olds crying about everything

I can't understand why there are ANY pros who don't scout like Naniwa. It's your jobs ffs people, be paranoid!
Completely agree, it's not a crowd pleasing move, but it's a fucking tournament for cash, you don't play a tournament to be a crowd favorite, you play to win. And MC used a tactic that took advantage of Ra's opening.
man, cheese is always a part of the game, and you have to accept it. It takes a serious baller to cheese in that final game in such situation, but its all calculated. You cant blame MC for doing so. At the end, its whitera's fault not being able to scout it and didnt even know that the new SP is always cross spawn. Show love to your player but not hatred to other players people =.='
All in all a fantastic tournament. Everything about it was great except maybe round five of the final (imho). The best was probably the host whatever his name is and the stream quality.
From now we'll see in every replay, tourney that White-ra scouta his own base on Shakuras. BTW obviously he wasn't aware of the fact, that the map was fixed to cross-position only (or he just forgot in the heat of the moment), he would have lost anyway, but it's so silly to have a ton different variaton of the same map.
Congrats to MC, he put the cheese on the table in the perfect moment.

Incorrect. Sports should be played to win, hence there being a shitton of sports not on your main stream television because they are not all enjoyable to watch, but they are still enjoyable to play. There are only a dozen or so major sports on television whereas there are hundreds maybe thousands of sports in the world.
If you are not entertained by strategy games where people play to win then so be it. Don't come up with an imaginary statement of fact to justify your own opinions.
Maybe you just shouldn't watch Esports if you have zero appreciation for the best strategies winning just because it doesn't involve 200 units with shiny graphics. What I say today was a battle of minds and MC clearly came ahead by being the most unpredictable and well rounded player. As such I'm impressed and I don't need to see 5 games of colossus wars for that to be the case.
I don't get it either. I agree on you that in sports players play to win, not to entertain but what is wrong with people wanting their player (team) to win even if the other team is playing better strategy wise? Isn't it completely normal in sports.
Nothing should be taken away from MC but I don't care he read Whitera perfectly. I'm still upset Whitera lost :o I'm not whining about it here as some others but I'm still quite pissed.
was that shakuras plateu the MLG version? it's really confusing, do they tell the players which kind of SP it is? i feel like MC thought it was MLG (even if it wasn't) and went straight for the cross positions

Can't we be sad that our favorite lost?
Yes, of course you can be sad that White-Ra lost, I think most people should be because he's such a great guy. But that doesn't mean it's okay to rage and hate on MC and make up excuses for why MC's win was unfair or improper. "I'm sad White-Ra lost :-( " =/= "I hate MC, he cheeses every game."
Great series overall, really close, good comeback by MC and crazy choice to proxy in White-Ra's base. For PvP, I thought it was pretty good.

On the other hand, once you said that, you must go over it. You should realize that the entire match-up is going to depend on Build Orders and micro. Games 3 and 4, specially the fourth, proved that MC has the better protoss micro on the entire world. White-Ra is very good, but MC is several times better than him when it comes to micro. And game 5 proved that MC could bet on a B.O with 15000 dollars on the table. In Poker, you call that a clutch player. In SC2, you should say that too instead of whining like jingoist clowns.
Good job MC.
I completely agree. If you're watching poker on TV, it's heads up at the final table and someone gets pocket aces, that player isn't going to fold the hand. If you see an advantage, you take it...
