TSL matches are not played at a specified time. the players agree on a time at their mutual convenience. then they ship the replays to TL who then gives them to the casters who send them back to TL for editing and broadcast.

I don't think we got to see how good Kas is. Nada beat himself. He was hardcapped and had to put down 4 desperation depots at the same time, later he had units queued 4 deep. These are pretty low-level mistakes.
Edit: Lag doesn't cause this. Do not cite lag as a reason why Nada sucked.

This is what I am hoping. MC is one player I really don't want to see handicapped by lag, given how important micro is to his play style. If someone beats him then there's zero excuses or reasons (lag, practice, etc.).

The TSL is recorded live off of replays. There is no "sending back to TL".

MC will be a very strong contender for the finals if he plays the finals in Sweden. NO LAG MC = BOSS TOSS

Must say, I haven't seen a huge amount of Kas' games before, but he played incredibly well. People are trying to downplay it saying Nada played badly (which I'll admit, he didn't play his best), but I'd say that was more a factor of the pressure Kas was putting on. Give credit where credit is due.

Nada deserve to lose, go banshee in almost every 1st game of a BoX series. His timing is really off, he play TvT like he was playing TvP. No map control, 3rd expansion timing always too late.
Kas on the other hand is a total boss, play almost flawless in 3 games. He will get very far in this tourney. At least to the semi.

The guy WAS the ultimate progamer.. 5 years ago.. nowadays, he's getting invites and what not based on his former glory, not on actual results in current tournaments.. same with Boxer.

I think I might not be winning the Liquibet this season....
|
Based off the way things have been going. Next weekend will be:
Cruncher > Mondragon Naniwa > Goody Hasuobs > Morrow Sen = Boxer
And if the trend continues then MC is going to rip through the rest of his opponents with zero losses.
EDIT: Just a little bitter as pretty much all of my favorite players are falling left and right. Fortunately I love MC.

Although NaDa didn't play too well he's still a great player. He's very consistent and he wasn't eliminated by a no name in GSL or something, he had to play July twice, who is really getting back to his former glory ^^

I think he's just saying that underdogs will continue to roll, since there have been so many upsets.
EDIT: nvm: That or just Protoss continue to roll. Analytical thought fail.

I don't think that either CrunCher, Naniwa or Hasuobs are underdogs lol. Sen and boxer are about equal though, I agree.

Uhm, only in the SotG universe would Cruncher, Naniwa and Hasu be considered underdogs in those matches.
He could be referring to ex-wc3 players though.

nah, koreans in this tournament aren't on highest level (except MC)...

I agree, MVP and Nestea are chumps

clueless post, if you weren't impressed by kas, then NaDa is absolute trash. (which isn't the case).
Completely dominant performance from Kas, I think those of us who watch him play a lot knew he would beat NaDa, he's a great terran.

So what is your reasoning for them underperfoming? Regardless of weather they are used to the opposing players play style or not it shouldnt mean that they get supply blocked mis micro etc etc so often when we see them play at such a high caliber at Lan settings like the gsl. How did MC micro his Zealot perfectly in game 1 vs Ciara? How did Nada micro his Banshee perfectly against TLO? . Its not like huge LAG is there in every game. User was warned for this post Ok so if Koreans win, it was fine. If they lose, it was lag. Got it. If lag is such a factor wouldn't the Koreans have practiced in it before so they know what kind of lag to expect? And if they deemed it too laggy to be playable at a high level, wouldn't they have asked their respected teams/sponsors to send them to either NA/EU for their game(s)? Or is that just an unreasonable request? Regardless, if they or anyone else complains about lag, wouldn't this solve the problem? Or are they just not taking the TSL seriously enough to send players abroad for such an event?

As i said on the RO16 Day thread, i think one of Thorzain/Kas has a decent chance to win the whole thing - the both look monsters and at the top of their game.
