I thought Kas played very solid. He had better map control, pressure, attacks, and severely out-macroed Nada.

is it really just because there is not a thread for every tournament? I mean I always check the livestreams on TL to find out about current tournamens so it seems very easy to stay informed...

or maybe its just easier for me cause I do only 2 things, work 40 hours a week and the rest is sc2 playing/watching ^^

what I dont understand is why top NA (but also some EU players) are not playing in so many smaller tournaments. I mean even if its only 100 - 200 $ price money.. are they really already earning so much that they dont want/have to play in these tournaments?

People have not been following the EU scene because you have a bunch of small-medium sized tourneys with 1-3k prize pools. They are also usually casted in german I guess.

For something like Dreamhack, you can be sure we will be watching.

I'd follow the EU scene more except for:

- Working full-time, I also play chess, Diplomacy, etc. online - SC isn't my "life" right now. Plus I waste time writing posts about how I don't follow SC instead of following SC.
- I'm coming from BW, so squeezing in time to watch (some of) Proleague/MSL/OSL already screws up my schedule enough.
- Due to these, I don't even follow the NA scene closely except for big events like CSL & MLG, maybe NASL now it's getting off the ground.

And then there's the issue that EU time is 5-7 hours ahead of NA (EDT) so it's just really inconvenient to watch any evening tourney. Korea's time offset is actually easier b/c of the schedule.

I suspect a lot of casual NA fans have similar problems.

Which all is to say, I saw Kas play against Haypro and thought he looked sloppy (overstimming) and after Nada vs TLO I was expecting Nada to be the solid one because I don't know who Kas is.

Yes well Kas is familiar to me because I also follow small tournaments. Sometimes I enjoy them more than a GSL, MLG or IEM. There are other Europeans who don't and there are others who don't live in the same time zone (all of NA) so they can't follow weekly cups.

Seems like a lot of TSL watchers aren't following all three scenes. Just speaks to the popularity and appeal of the TSL. Got all kinds of people watching! :D

With Kas being among the very best Terrans in EU for so long (and his position on the TLPD, being #1 for weeks at a time), I'd probably go so far as to suggest that big SC2 fans should know him anyway. Just like EU people not following the NA scene should still recognise the names Idra, Kiwikaki and Select.

I definitely won't chastise casual watchers for not knowing the names of every top player from every region, though.

Funny but even people who don't play sc2 know Idra. Just today I was in a justin.tv chat streaming a cod4 LAN and people were talking of Idra being bad ass.

So far round 16 liquibets have been easy and predictable. 4/4 here.

No one should whine about lag, Nada had really low lag when he played vs TLO.
Simply put, Kas just played better. I was expecting this to be a close matchup since Kas is so good at TvT, but did not expect 3:0..

I had a great time watching all the matches today. Brought my lap top in the kitchen, watched the games while cooking my family a nice dinner. Was a really good day. Thank you TSL

There's nothing better then cooking and watching SC with the family, two things I love to do

I predicted Kas would stomp Nada, and he did. I'm suprised the Liquibets are as skewed as they were: I only saw him playing the gcpl and small clan leagues and he was always the one bring the smackdown.

What ur nothing taking into account, besides Kas being a great player (prolly top 3 terran in EU)
, what if he practiced his ass off to beat Nada? wouldnt that give Kas more effort points?

ALSO srsly the lag excuse is ridicullous , IF MC DID IT THEN THERE IS NO EXCUSE FOR OTHER KOREANS TO BLAME LAG AS AN ISSUE!

srry for the caps but i want to make it clear :D

MC and WhiteRa both played on the Korea server, seeing as WR was in Korea at the time.

People who didnt know about Kas havent been paying attention. But lag is still an issue in these games, whether you want to ignore it or not.

I wouldn't recommend any. In every single game Nada beat himself. He didn't make supply depots. He didn't make SCVs. He failed at the absolute basics, so what can you expect... He got flattened. I was watching his CCs and his supply and I was shocked at how many times I saw CCs not producing, and by how many times his supply cap was stuck with NO DEPOTS in production!

Seriously. Nada must've been off somewhere else mentally, because that definitely wasn't the Nada people are used to seeing.

Lol no one on the left side of the bracket left that I'm actually excited for. Oh well, here's hoping that I can at least see an MC vs Sen finals.
