I think before people dismiss convincing wins with the excuse of "lag", they should really have some numbers to back it up or it comes across as meaningless fanboy-ism.

I mean multiple supply blocks, a million queues, low worker counts, etc. Sure, he made some unproductive decisions (i.e. banshee on Crevasse), but overall, its seems like Nada is playing with such sloppiness. Anyways, GG by Kas; he played quite well. I remember the last round of TSL seeing Nada controlling his units a lot better then he did in GSL WC just a few days later. Contrary to what one would think. Based on that I sincerally doubt that had anything to do with it. To me it looked like one player was overwhelmed by the other, when you're overwhelmed it's easy to let mistakes snowball. If you have seen Kas and his beastly tvt before this shouldn't be a surprise. This should not be an issue of what Nada did wrong, instead Kas should be acknowledged for how insanely good he is at doing exactly what he did.

Constantly up in supply, even in the very early stage when Nada had 24 supply against 30 of Kas, I don't even know how this is possible. Then Kas just grinding small advantages until he is +50 food. This is so sick, Kas' macro is the most impressive of all player I saw, MVP style. (and lag has nothing to do with macro efficiency so please don't bring that :p)

Anyone who follows the scene outside of GSL knows he's the best Terran and TvTer in Europe. No surprise at all. NaDa's name should have no meaning in this match. completely agree. When i heard that they claimed that Nada will wipe the floors with Kas i just couldn't take their words seriously. i've been following Kas for a while now and i confidently voted for him to win in the liquibet He is clearly a player to be wrecked with.

Like Jinro said, the players can prepare for the lag by practicing on the server they will be playing on. IF lag was an issue, and Nada did not prepare for it, then it is clearly HIS problem. Here is an excellent interview w/ Grubby for NASL where he explains the lag situation I think better than anyone can - http://nasl.tv/Videos/grubby-interview - I recommend watching it to anyone that's complaining.

I'm trying to bounce between "Nada's play made Kas look better than he is" and "Kas is just epic win" - I think its somewhere in between. Hopefully Boxer goes a little deeper though. I would feel bad for Gisado to do a Korean stream without Koreans.

No-one is denying he played amazingly well today, but let's not all get on board the hype train and start calling this guy the best foreigner when he has absolutely no success at 'offline' events.

NaDa did not lose because of lag. Less SCVs, queues, and worse decisionmaking don't come down to latency. ffs, I don't want to start abandoning LR threads, but this is ridiculous.

We're not seeing the truth strength of the Koreans in this tournament, and anybody who says otherwise just doesn't know what they're capable of.

But I do think they MAY have though ( I certainly don't know for sure) that they would be fine if they practice diligently IN KOREA. So I think they did take this tournament seriously but didn't factor in the lag factor. Perhaps I'm mistaken but that would be thought. Oh sorry, I played on the NA server (only plat T_T) for 4 months in Korea while I was studying abroad so I have some sense of how bad it is/was. Nada vs TLO was on the NA server as well if im not mistakened, so he knew what he was in for. and in those series he didnt seem affected by it, so its hard to think that was a big issue now

I would love a situation where we could say that 'foreigners' are as good as koreans, but with the koreans playing like this it really doesn't mean all that much. I don't know what the cause of it is, but something is definately wrong on the korean side, either in terms of how much they actually care about winning or in terms of their playstyle being hampered by something. I was very much looking forward to this tournament but it's just not been living up to my expectations. My problem with that thinking is they are experiencing some problems right now. Just like foreigners have to deal with a foreign country and jetlag when we play in Korea. Typically foreigners have struggled, just like Koreans have struggled so far in the TSL. My point is that maybe it's time we start thinking that the percieved gap between Koreans and foreigners isn't as large as many people think it is. Once there are enough of these type of results, people shouldn't keep saying Koreans are better. I have a feeling though that it will take an overwhelming set of evidence before some people are willing to concede that point.
