I don't blame him. Everything that could go wrong went wrong. Then on top of that you got a horde of angry fans being completely uncivil towards you and your coworkers. It's tough man.
you could prevent most of this shit mess by actually doing what your supposed to do and organize this event. if the people would have organized this properly and done their work, this huge shitfest wouldn't occure.
that's incompetence at the highest level occuring at EVERY MLG thus far for sc2.

Then all of the sudden, the stream is hit with hundreds of thousands of viewers trying to start up the stream and watch the game that is getting cast.
They only have problems when they actually cast games because that is when everyone is actually watching the stream. Its smooth and fine when they aren't because there are no where near the amount of viewers watching during downtime as opposed to cast time.
Once they start to cast, the stream dies and their internet dies. Its the equivelant of a DDOS attack and they do not have the infrastructure to support the amount of viewers right now who want to watch.
They may simply have to move to a pay only system like GOMTV because they can't handle streaming for free.
They really do need to do something. If CharlieSheen can stream to 100k+ viewers on UStream, then MLG should be able to do the same.
Really? crappy internet memes? where are the mods or has this thread just been abandoned because it is a complete lost cause.
Why do you care?
This threads serves no purpose anymore. Mods might as well delete it and call it a day.
As brilliant an attitude that is, through out the day in the streams down time games have still been played and information has been coming through from various sources as to plays that have been made and result that have happened. The place for that information should be this live report thread so this thread does still server a purpose.

I'm not complaining or whining. I guess down at the heart I am entreating people to not support company's and organizations that are marginalizing our sport. This is why we are fringe ... This is why we cant have nice things!
Its computers, they live their own life and no one will ever know why they dont work.
Only way to make it reliable is to have lots of backup systems and that cost money. Real sports with millions of viewers have those resources
So I have this dog, right, he actually enjoys watching stuff I put onto my HDTV with me, including game casts and stuff, but even my dog is now at a point where he looks at the screen (showing the SC2 stream showing the crowd) and then looks back at me with a look of sheer desperation on his face.

All they have to do is acknowledge their screw up and refund the customers that want a refund and they would not have the uproar they do now. They would only be dealing with the "I WANT STREAM NOW!" people instead of dealing with the "I want my money now and stream!" people.
They already said they will get free passes for next event or a refund. It's been posted a few times now in this thread and retweeted.

I really don't think the mods should be upset about people whining, I agree with a lot of posts saying it's making it easier to not go insane. This thread keeps people sane by complaining, and it's not like their complaining is invalid.
And for other people I shall post this to keep you entertained =) Call it an intermission.
Watched all of them. Best ~25 minutes of MLG so far for me today. Its over awesome, thanks for sharing, seriously
