Why would u blame blizzard ? MLG connection is a big failure, bnet is working fine.
Because Blizzard should have LAN so there aren't these kind of problems. Sucks their having internet problems :/.

I think it's not only a great idea, but one that could be entirely fruitful for them considering that they can essentially back their own game. I think they're fearful of doing it, as it would show how weak they would be versus someone else. That's what I'm thinking as well. Why don't they just provide a version of the game that connects to an "MLG Dallas" zone, with the servers under lock and key in the venue.
Yeh, i've heard of something like that back in brood war and other games. Well, I heard about it a while ago, it was pretty a pretty innovative feature that lots of computers 20 yrs ago could do, it was called lan or something like that. But it was too archaic i think so they got rid of it.
I really hope the stream is back up soon

Oh dear god! You killed me man!

Is the stream back for anyone else?

I normally don't like whining, but this has been a total disaster. It's just frustrating because everyone was so hype for it.

I'm honestly surprised that people are blaming MLG in the poll. MLG wouldn't be having these bandwidth issues in the first place if Blizzard implemented LAN support.

The City of Dallas couldn't handle the popularity of starcraft 2 haha

Guys this is fate. The universe is angry at there being no TSL this weekend and they taking their vengeance out on the poor folks at MLG. They doing what they can but when the universe is angry only R1CH can stop it.

For the same reason I watch disaster clips on youtube, obviously.

I'm about 15min outside of Dallas and it's working fine for me.

its also fun to watch how grown adults who're apparently passionate about eSports can't get any games running, let alone a stream. These people are fucking adults with tons of money and educated professionals and yet they can't get a single thing right. Incompetent fucks

Because of this thread.

Well, Dreamhack, GSL, Blizzcon. Only on MLG they have problems.

Sad days at MLG. Some smilies to express frustration:

where is the mighty ban hammer?!
i want to hear more LR type commentary and less TT
are games being played still?

It's MLGs fault, Sundance said on state of the game that they can't afford real internet for this events. They buy cheap and hopes it works. MLG is kind of broke and a bit unstable.
|
i've lived in the dallas area for almost 15 years and it seems like either me or one of my friends are always having internet issues. Our ISP has changed ownership so many times i've lost count.

Actually, we're sorta thinking about Blizzard doing the infrastructure, not just coping out with Internet play and not addressing the concern of the tournament goers. But that's just us. It doesn't have to be LAN, it can be Blizzard tournament-mode licensing if they're so worried about their precious dollar.
