are games being played still? Nobody knows but the organizers and they're being tight lipped. There's a difference between crying/bitching/whining and being genuinely confused and seeking information. I'd like to know at least something of what's going on, but no one from MLG has posted anything here, on their website, or even in the live blog since the stream went down.
As I post this, from Tak on the MLG forums:
As stated on the Starcraft stream, they are having internet issues at the venue and players have chosen not to play until they are resolved to allow for the best matches. Grubby and DDE played one game, started the second game and then paused the game due to a massive lag spike, no games have been played since or are currently being played for Starcraft on the mainstage.

are you serious? that's like saying you shouldn't blame the drunk driver for causing the accident but instead blame the car company for making the car.

Why would u blame blizzard ? MLG connection is a big failure, bnet is working fine. No LAN support.
Sure, we all want LAN support.
The service that Blizzard provides (battle.net) is actually working fine though. You can't blame them for MLG's internet.

He said they don't have enough money to roll in a satelitte truck, the point is they use the convention center internet, you can't blame MLG entirely.

You cant compare a fuckin 2 + 2 hour downtime to 1 GSL game out of 80 gettin replayed cuz of lag after 1 min....god im drunk

Why would u blame blizzard ? MLG connection is a big failure, bnet is working fine. No LAN support. Well, Dreamhack, GSL, Blizzcon. Only on MLG they have problems.
GSL at least has had connectivity issues on several occasions, most recently with MVP v Dimaga. Blizzcon and Dreamhack i'm not as sure about, i'd have to check but suffice it to say that this is not just an MLG thing.

GSL and TSL don't have these problems
If they were playing starcraft 1 on LAN at MLG right now, we still wouldn't be able to see it - its a streaming/organisational problem

I seriously doubt at this point that the MLG organisation could set up a decent LAN to play on.

Why would u blame blizzard ? MLG connection is a big failure, bnet is working fine. Because Blizzard should have LAN so there aren't these kind of problems. Sucks their having internet problems :/.
No. It's Blizzard's fault when at GSL one player drops and they have to regame (see Dimaga vs MVP). It's MLG's fault when nothing is going on stream because they can't "handle" the viewers.
