They were either barely on A-team or on B-team. Some like NesTea was just a 2v2er if I'm correct. Nada, Boxer and July were basically B-team status at the end of their careers. I think the highest A-Teamer was MVP followed by PuMa and SangHo.

If the koreans lose in an online tournament than it's latency, "I mean no way koreans could lose to foreigners, just wait till it comes to a LAN setting". GSL World Championships comes along, "The koreans weren't trying, if this were BW then the koreans would dominate. SC2 is too easy blah blah blah..." In the early stages of BW the skill gap between koreans and foreigners wasn't actually that bad because no one knew what the hell they were doing, relatively speaking. As the game progressed the koreans pulled ahead because of the amount they practiced, the culture surrounding the game and the opportunities for them. Same thing starts with SC2, the skill gap is quite close and if history repeats itself the koreans will eventually become these untouchable gosus that foreigners dream of beating. However foreigners have become proactive in keeping up this time around, the ROOT pro house, MLG/NASL/IGN PL/TSL all the sponsorships and exposure to the foreigner world, and players are practicing a ton more and understand what must be done to become top tier players. That understanding and execution wasn't present in BW and that's why the foreigners fell so far behind. Sure SC2 is a lot less mechanically demanding than BW, but is that really a bad thing? Should you have to play like a machine to be good at a "strategy" game? Is it really sooooo bad that a RTS becomes focused on strategy? This game is still developing and the foreigner community is developing right along side of it and gaining on the koreans in a new game. Lets be honest though, with an actual tournament in two days time, for 27k, would you really use your new strats for a show match for free? I'm not saying they were playing with one hand, but it isn't like they are giving 100%. its like 90% or 80%. Whatever it is, its not 100% . Not to say the foreigners wouldn't have still won. I'm just saying. This is probably on both sides as well. <3 with love

All questions will be answered in the real tournament. See here is the thing... now if they do win (which is obviously VERY possible) then people will just say... "SEE!! They weren't trying before... and they were lagging in the TSL... and they were Jet lagged at Dreamhack... and <enter more excuses>" when it will only be a few results. I just really find it annoying how people always try to find excuses because they are so busy putting Koreans up on a pedestal rather than giving credit to foreigners when they play well and win. Also, if they lose... I can guarantee you people will be saying "Oh, well TT1 just turtled up which is so it was a cheap strategy" or "Well MorroW just did an all in to win his matches... he would have gotten stomped otherwise." I'm not saying everyone will say something like that, but there will definitely be people making excuses on behalf of others to the grave. Hardly anyone (if anyone at all) is saying foreigners are on the same level as Koreans, but the point I am trying to make--as well as many others are--is that people should stop saying Koreans are way better every time... because that puts themselves and other people they convince in the mentality that if a Korean lost, it must be something that was out of their control. Good games should be the focus of high level matches... not balance, not lag, not whichever excuse. Honestly I wouldn't mind it here and there as it would seem more legitimate, but the amount of QQ in TSL3 has been a bit ridiculous, especially when you take a step back and simply look at who is playing in it.

They didn't need to do new strats, but cmon NaDa doing a 1 base all in basically? Or Marine King doing basically a 2 base all in. They could easily have played safely and like so many people have stated "Since they are so much better than the foreigners they would have won a standard macro game." But the koreans made poor decisions on builds and strategies. The koreans didn't need to use anything amazingly new or unique, but standard macro play would have been better than gimmick builds.

Xeris: Your most known aka is TT1, have you used any other nicks before and what is the significance of TT1 ? TT1: When i was a newb I started off using TheYellow, then I joined a korean clan and used Pop.SenSe. I started using TT1 when I joined Shield on west and just kept it since then Xeris: What made you deicde on that name in particular ? Just something that you thought koreans would approve of ? TT1: Honestly I was pretty young when I made my nick; the reason was stupid.. I just wanted a nick that looked korean lol. I took TT because alot of kors used it and added a 1 to make it look original From: http://www.teamliquid.net/blogs/viewblog.php?topic_id=94907 Good thing he didn't use T_T instead.

The reason NaDa wasnt able to execute his all-in perfectly was because of TT1's cannon and great ability to nullify NaDa's banshee harass. Not because he wasn't taking it seriously. well that is exactly my point. People say he wasn't taking it seriously BECAUSE he did an all-in. But he is actually pretty good doing that so its not like he did something totally crazy or out of the ordinary here. He just lost because his game-plan did not work out against TT1 and not because he did not take it serious..

Yeah big props to GOM for this, awesome setup and delivering some great games. The team games are making me super hyped for the individual tourney, would be epic if it gets down to a korean v world player in the finals.
