EMPEROR!!!!!
How the hell is NASL not gonna pick the emperor?!!!!!!
'cause he's like five days late?
LOL,
Yeah, I would love the NASL not pick BoxeR and just go with
"well, he sent in a late application and we don't need him in this tourney. We get enough attention as it is. The deadline is more important than us increasing the amount of viewers that could potentially turn in to see him."

I don't think Psy would apply, on his channel he always goes on about how he is not good enough to beat the top players like Drewbie. I did expect iechoic to apply though
iEchoic is not good player, he just had that one good strategy but he is not good player.
I'm sure NASL has their own methods of choosing players, but there are a lot of reason to pick Boxer
1) Fame. No need to explain this I guess. I could bet you get more views for matches with BoxeR vs foreigner, than 50th foreigner vs foreigner.
2) Sponsors. If you look at the SlayerS teams sponsors, they are mostly western companies, so from a sponsor point of view picking BoxeR would be good for eSports, sponsors and NASL.
3) Skill. Well althou BoxeR might not be as good as some top koreans, he practices a lot and can produce very entertaining games as can be seen in + Show Spoiler +
GSL up/down matches against Zenio, specially the 3rd game.
4) NASL format. Inviting BoxeR for the first season would be totally reasonable, if he cannot keep up with the results, then he will drop out. NASL has nice variety in roster between seasons, so taking advantage from BoxeR's fame to promote to league in the first season would be good for the league.
Also the invite system relies a lot on past merits, there are some other players with significant results in SC:BW only, and nothing special in SC2 yet. Althou he had good GSL experience BoxeR more of less falls in this category too with Artosis, Mondragon etc.
P.S. Koreans being late sure is an issue, but cut them some slack dudes.

as much as ive been tooting the horn of letting as many koreans in as is reasonable, i cant agree with letting in people who applied late. as soon as the rules start bending for people of a certain level of fame is a slippery slope into free rides and bad decisions.

he can always qualify/apply next season
I think a lot of the Korean apps were late, but we'll see soon when they start releasing players =)
It might be best for him not to compete in the first NASL anyway. Good to see how good the quality of production and gameplay is, then come in 2nd season to totaly dominate!
Korean's applied late because they didn't even receive notifications or were contacted until late into the application process. in SotG Xeris was asked why koreans weren't applying or something and he said he didn't contact korean teams, but would get on it, hence why on the NASL official thread, he said that he'll take late korean applications on a case by case basis.
BoxeR, crashes servers at 3am PST because he's so famous. BoxeR provider of uncountable numbers of matches that we hold dear from scbw and even in sc2 he captures our hearts with bold strategies (cheese or not) and leaves us clinging to the edge of our seats, even when most players would've gg'd, BoxeR's fighting spirit of never give up, never back down, seems to bring him out of impossible odds.
Don't get me wrong, when NASL was announced, i was super excited at the thought of a GSL production level tournament held in the north american servers, but I was skeptical as to how it would be. But the moment i saw july apply, then nada, and now boxer. I think Artosis says it best. "i got nerd chills" Like literally, i feel a physical manifestation of my excitement of thinking of korean all-stars from past and present, duking it out with westerners, bringing forth fame, and viewership from around the globe, to our own backyard, especially if they make it to the ro16 and i can drive to the studio and cheer them on!
