I dont know what the seconds delay or whatever would be... I guess it would depend. But i'd say it effects those micro based players. 300-400ms is already bad imo. if you put latency in a perspective of an First Person Shooter, it means all the difference in the world. 80 ms will give you like a slight delay under around 0.5 secs, maybe lower. 200 ms is normally like 1-1.5sec delay. 400ms is LOL, shoot, wait 2-3 seconds, then the bullet will register. Doesnt really apply to only micro based players but in general lag does play a huge role. Running away zerglings from forcefields, forcefielding the army properly, stim kiting, EMP, basically any spell-cast is hugely affected because the guy with 80ms is gonna have an upperhand vs the guy with 400 ms.
Correct me if that doesn't corrospond like 100% in those cases, but doesn't the "ms" actually stand for "millisecond"?
I kinda fail to see how 200ms is 1-1.5seconds :|

Well I'm not sure why you're saying it's not that difficult. Micro is a huge part of SC2, sadly not huge enough(yet) and there are very few who excel at it. MC and MKP both rely on their insane micro which they obviously cannot put to use the way they do in the GSL.
They need to adapt yes, but it's hard to rework your entire playstyle just because playing crossregion is so awful.

you know that ms standas for milliseconds?^^
god so much bullshit talked here. watch socke vs zenio and tell me how much delay zenio can possibly have.
2 seconds ofc! OMG gonna sleep now, feel bad my fellow socke still has to play at 4:30 am.

you guys rly believe in 1.5 secs?
how can the koreans even put a single forcefield or micro lings around bases? it is def. not even 0.5 secs - omg i cannot belive you trust in "a friend of mine said that".
when i have lag i also say "3 secs i cannot move" asap When I play on the korean server, the lag is close to 1.5 sec. I wouldn't be surprised if they're actually getting 1+ seconds of latency... and Boxer also mentioned the latency was really really bad for TSL, at least a full second. I don't know about you but I give more credit to boxer than "a friend of mine" it wasnt boxer who said it, it was his gf but just watching the games tells a different story. stalker attacks a ling on hold position. 0.3 secs later the ling moves. how is that possible with 1 sec latency... do you guys even know how much a second is in a RTS?^^ yeah you must've had a stopwatch out and measured that 0.3 seconds huh? point is, 1 second lag is possible. this is from personal experience 4~ days ago. you have no idea what you're talking about... tell me how to moving shot like zenio did with 1 sec, or move lings when attacked asap. when you have the answer, i might get conviced it is a second.
did i ever say it was a second? i said i wouldn't be suprised if it was a full second. and mind you, latency is not a consistent thing. it'll fluctuate through the game, it may be 300 ms one moment, then spike up to 700 ms, etc...

Are these being played on the US server or EU server?

It's whiny because it's the same thinly veiled excuses he always makes, same old story, same boring humor. Well you're implying that old jokes are just not funny, which isn't true. It depends on the person. As Tastosis say "joke funny>joke not funny>joke more funny than it used to be". Although there is some truth to what idra says That's why I said different strokes, I don't doubt it depends on the person, and Terran just got a huge stim nerf and Zerg just got a massive infestor buff, I don't buy that shit anymore, I'd rather believe the better player won and not take credit away from the player because of the race he plays.
I guess, but infestor buff doesn't really stop 1 base all ins (which is what Idra loses to i'm assuming).

US. not as if it would matter, since US<-->EU seems to be pretty fine.
and koreans have 1029 seconds on each server anyway.

Lol, get off the latency discussion man, it doesn't matter that much whether or not there is horrible latency or not. If anything, the advantage if theres latency should be given to EU/US players because they're used to cross region latency unlike the koreans which mostly practice in-house. Thats probably more of an advantage than the inherent latency.
Anyways, if its US server you can see the results from anyone's games on their profile on bnet...

oGsMC vs CheckPrime.WE currently being played but without stream - replays to come.

What's the deal with this Sheth vs stalife match? Longest games ever or is there another reason it's not done?

Sheth won - brackets weren't updated for some silly reason.

just watched most of the first strelok idra game and yea strelok just uses the low ground on meta to siege up and make his tanks insanely efficient. his macro was actually pretty bad - often letting his macro slip completely on 2 bases, and even had a ton of minerals early on when he was only macroing off 1 base, and only spending it by queuing up a bunch of hellions etc

oh damn socke fucked up there
