well they are teammates, and most players usually respect other players since they are players!
it's like lebron says he respects kobe and vice versa etc but their fans talk shit about them all the time

Can someone explain why there was a game 6? It was already decided by game 5 wasnt it?

I believe they need a clear ranking for all four players in the group, as each place has a different outcome. 1st: goes through and plays 2nd from another group. 2nd: goes through and plays 1st from another group. 3rd: goes into the up-and-down matches with two shots at survival. 4th: goes into the up-and-down matches with one shot at survival.

Someone make a Code A thread (I can't, I'm going to work soon ...)
Moonglade fighting!

Wheres mah Code A threads : /

While I'm here, I must say that Tasteless must be exhausted, he's been casting all week, like he was in the last GSL. He wanted time off, but Artosis isn't giving him any!

I work 11 hours a day in my office, he works like 5. I'll show real exhaustion, tasteless has it easy, bra
also, need a coda a day 3 thread!

HongUn is total boss. Pulling a showmatch build in the last set.
Good game!

You also have to realize that part of their job is also grinding on the ladder to get a feel for the current metagame, and doing research on builds. Tasteless obviously isn't doing a great job on that last part, but Artosis certainly is. That takes a lot of time. These guys are thinking about Starcraft 24/7...I doubt you do the same for your job. Even though it is a game, I think mental exhaustion takes its toll quite heavily.

do we know who jinro would be playing for ro16?
|
|
hongun basically gave his mothership game away so he wouldnt face his teammate checkprime in the next round, jinro is probably also happy about that since he wont have to play his teammate nada.

I'm going to call horse shit where I see horse shit, sorry. WORKING for 11 hours/day is much more intensive than CASTING for 5 hours/day. This "starcraft research" you speak of amounts to nothing more than playing a lot - as you said - and watching others play a lot. That isn't the same thing as work. In fact, it's downright entertainment. Stop kidding yourself.
To be fair, I did get a laugh reading your attempt to compare real world long work days to casting starcraft (in terms of difficulty and exhaustion).
Cheers

haha jinro will roll over hongun prime as long as its not one of those new maps that favor protoss. no contest there. jinro hwaiting!

It's no longer "entertainment" when they do it for a living. There's a reason why it's called "grinding" on the ladder - it's not exactly fun anymore. You can already tell that Tasteless doesn't have the enthusiasm that he used to have for BW. Either way, it's not really feasible to quantify and compare the difficulty and exhaustion between your job and theirs. All I'm saying is, don't call "horseshit" and talk shit, when you seem to know nothing about their situation. Of course they 'might' have it easier than you, but there's no way of knowing that. I also got a laugh from your assumptive and prejudiced post.
I'm a law student, and I also do statistical analysis for a private hedge fund. There are days where I literally don't stop working/studying. Even then, I can empathize with the difficulty others' professions, and I never want to assume anything.
