Games 7 and 8 were probably the most exciting starcraft II matches we've seen to date, ever. Amazing brilliant play, that was totally worth staying up for.

I'm pretty sure Xxio meant they need to focus more on the team leagues like a proleague format instead of having it only be for four days in between solo leagues. And I'd agree, this was a really exciting four days. It's a lot easier to be emotionally attached to every game than it is in a solo league.

KT is Flash-centered, Oz is JD-centered...IM is a team that has both the best Terran and the best Zerg in the world (pretty much indisputably) plus a lot of solid supporting members. IM is like KT + Jaedong at the moment. Unbelievable.

Calling up new players for every match is way more intense and exciting and also allows the team to function more like a team and not just rely on star players to all-kill for them. I would personally hate it so much if you just had a1 vs b1 / a2 vs b2 / a3 vs b3 etc etc. That really takes a lot of the tension and drama out of things imo, you don't get the chance for heroes, and no one can make a name for themselves with a 1 match limit unless they manage a snipe. I mean, would anyone have cared nearly as much about Squirtle, Ace, Seed, or YongHwa before these finals if they'd only won one game each as opposed to having decimated the majority of the opposing teams when they played? Would anyone have cared about the (comparatively) lower quality Slayers vs Zenex match if Zenex hadn't got a huge lead, only for Jjob to almost manage an awesome comeback? Long live the winners league format tbh On February 11 2011 03:47 beat farm wrote: why did i go to bed????? is squirtle in the gsl? Yeah he's in Code A, lost r16 last season to SC in a pretty close series (1-2)

I missed out on basically every game in the GSTL. Was it worth it? The finals were certainly amazing from what I watched. Yes its only 5 dollars, i bought the pass after missing most of the matches. The hype around the finals was simply too good to miss out on. I was not dissapointed at all.
