I agree. He knows he can't take Jinro's army straight up, so he might as well do some damage when he knows his front is gonna take damage anyway. Might as well counter that damage. It works quite well for him and I think it shows great decision making on his part.

I don't know why people are making a big deal of Tasteosis having their player preference in their commentary, this is an English broadcast - the majority of the viewers are english speaking and support the "foreign" scene.
This isn't football where ALL of the NFL teams are in the US and are on national TV where the commentators don't pick favorites, this is the GSL - Global Starcraft League.

It's not that. If Jinro did a base trade everyone would proclaim it to be the best TvT ever. Not so if MKP does it though since he isn't a foreigner.

Great post, thanks. It's a strategy game, you play to win. MKP noticed a key property about his army and figured out how to exploit it. Smart.

It also only turns into a base trade, because the advantaged player decides to not retreat to save their base.

Foxer with the fast expo - I'm not sure if Jinro expects this or not  . Hopefully the tank push he has planned will still be effective against Foxer's fast expo build. By RIGHT, Jinro should have this game, I think - especially with Foxer not noticing that rax.
