I voted for aAa, they have a really solid team and I don't feel like they get very much coverage. I'm very displeased that they have TuZeR on their team though.

Xeris not reading too much into this poll is wise though, CNB has more votes then all other teams combined and I don't feel that that reflects the community.
All of those teams (with maybe the exception of Dream Vision which I am not familiar with) seem like good choices, I really don't think you can go wrong. Obviously people will be disappointed but hopefully there will be more opportunities to show their skill in team events.

If a Namibian team does sign up though, I think you have to give it to them; it would be false advertising otherwise. Really looking forward to this event, keep up the good work Xeris!

So Teamliquid is the only community??

If CNB has a lot of votes is because someone voted for them, it means that there are some people that are willing to cheer for them, in opposal of many of the other teams that people kinda like, but aren't fans, you know.

For most people, the 8th team is more like "whatever" because they don't like one in special

as much as i'd hate to say it since complexity isnt winning the poll....yet.... i think the team with the most votes should be the one accepted, not this ambiguity on "oh 100 people signed up for site just to vote for brasilians" should be evident of the support behind them from the brasilian community... we arent the ONLY community site around, so it's unfair to be like "oh since you arent from TL your votes are meaningless" etc etc

I voted FXO I want Shethy to play XP

I actually thought FXO (FXOpen) was a tournament and figured Sheth would be part of ROOT or something lol...

I really wish it started Jan. 1st tho... 2 weeks is tooooo long! Can't wait!!! Plus my school will start so I don't know if I'll be able to watch as many games as I'd like =(

Maybe you guys can announce which matches will be casted so people can make sure to make time to watch their favorite teams/players play, in case they can't watch all of the matches. =)
Dont quote me boy, cuz I aint saying shhh...

i disagree with using the poll. I could have 10,000 friends who know nothing about sc2 or any of these teams, but I could easily get them to sign up for the site and vote for my team. They won't be viewing the competition or have any interest in anything gosucoaching is doing, they are just votes. The team that is the best should be selected, plain and simple. The team with the best group of individuals, who have proven they deserve a spot in the league, because its about how good the team is, not how many friends they have voting for them.

It's good for us, from CNB, to see that many brazilian votes for us. We have two main comunities in Brazil and it seems that both are supporting us due to our recent runs. It shows our acceptance back here and how our comunity cheer for us. It's kinda cool!

It's all about brazilian heat!!

As Xeris said, that doesn't show the most popular team at all. And we were sure that the Poll wouldn't be that decisive, that's why we didn't called for friend votes, only posted it to the comunity.

who is esc-icy-box and how do they have 3x as many votes as the next highest lol

just goes to show that the poll shouldn't be what decides it IMO, because then what it comes down to is who advertises the most. If Husky made a team and told his 350k subscribers to register on gc and vote for team shithole, teamshithole would win by a mile.

edit: nvm the poll doesn't align, looks like that is CNB which i'm talking about, and in all honesty, once again it comes down to who puts on their website, twitter, commentary, youtube vids etc, sign up and vote for us so that you can see us in this clan league!

when in all honesty it should come down to merit not popularity. That is the way I voted because I think there are only 3 teams on that list that would genuinely compete for a top position.

its CNB with the most votes

if you look, the name of the team and the votes are off center and not on the same line... so you have to look 1 line down to see each team's vote count

oh well, its ok.

Let's not create unnecessary debate over it. It was just not clear for everyone that the poll wasnt the main factor to decide who should go in.

Ya for some reason the poll doesn't line up well ~_~ , hopefully we'll get that fixed asap. ESC is a German team (they used to be mouz in BW ... I.E White-Ra, Strelok, JF, MaNa until they left the ESC organization and joined mouz) .

They have people like Goody and Delphi who are pretty strong.

Good luck with the league! Sounds promising!

Is there an admin list or staff list so we can see who is involved (aside from the official casters mentioned in the original post)?

think it's wise if we stay away from wc3-style tournaments and leagues because that's all there is right now on NA server.
