He's certainly tested the most obvious strategies you guys have been suggesting and I'm sure he found that they didn't work out. If simply not getting gas would have won the game, do you really think he wouldn't have found that in testing? Calling a pro player a noob just makes you look like a fool.

I for one have faced proxy gate cheese on SoW multiple times in ladder, though maybe not this particular one that MC was doing, and each and everytime I defended it comfortably by sending 3-4 SCVs to kill of the pylon. Believe me or not, it does work. This works when the pylon is placed in the top of the plateau, because when placed in low ground, by the time SCVs manage to kill it, toss will have a new pylon ready at the top, away from SCVs, with gateway ready to churn zealots.

If SCVs are pulled, Terran loses economy, and Protoss is already good for macro without Terran having to deal with the cheese. And at this level, Protoss isn't just whelping the cheese if he cancels the gate/looses the cheese at that point because it is a net gain for toss and Terran will MOST LIKELY eventually lose. you just kill the pylon with 3-4 scv's.. thats it. AFTER it has finished. you won't be behind in econ because P sacks a lot econ to get up this early gate. also if he cancels the gateway, just build a friggin techlab an go marauder with slow or reaper.. P can't get stalkers for a long time as the gate in his main will just have been started..

I would have never ever wanted to hurt myself reading TL's comments like 6 months ago, even though sometimes comments on live reports were so bad. But today, with all those non-players pros that think they figured the game out who are really getting on my nerves, I'll probably have to stop reading those kind of threads just in order to preserve my sanity. LR thread were always painful to read, in sc2 particulary

Jinro is playing in a style that fails if you don't respond just right, but when you do finally understand the matchup you just don't die. Look at Flash for an example of that style at its peak. You can argue about potential skill or whatever, but the results are the results and the man has a point. I'm definitely not a fan of Rain but the amount of blind hatred here is amazing; it's made even more baffling with the blind love of Jinro. His fans even talked trash about MC and cried about cheese... basically a huge bandwagon of whiners.
