Tod did great. He relied too much on his own knowledge of the game though, which is unfortunately not on the same level as those people he casted so he assumed things that happen in upper, but not quiet pro, tier.

That sounds like i only listed negatives but that was the only negative.

Yes, that's right. Sometimes he was a bit "stubborn". But otherwise he was great.

And no, I really didn't know him before so I'm not really biased...

The tournament was great until now imho except the freakin' stream problems. That ruined everything, it's sad. I really hope TaKe will be able to host another tournament and it won't affect his future that much. I also liked the different commentators, it was really refreshing to hear Hasu, DeMuslim, Dimaga, Socke and others to commentate games - they were all great!

ToD is still not knowledgeable about sc2 as he will be, but it's still interresting to hear his thoughs imo.

unfortionally crap start, in the end turned out to be a great tournament as expected.

Still: HSC1 was slightly better, posted my thoughts in german readmore.de (#900) if someone is interested (TaKe!)

So it worked out in the end then? I stopped watching because the stream kept dying for me.

Sorry if this is a dumb question, but will there be VODs or replays?

Take is a very good host! BUT he should NOT cast!
Clearly tod for example is a much better caster. I was very impressed by ToD hope he casts more in the future Specially if you combine him with a pro co caster thats just awesome.
Again nothing against take but he is just talking too much random BS and focusses too much on other stuff. He never tells us anything that is going on and never focusses really on the game. I watched him cast so many games its just annoying now..
Hope he will focus on what he does best and orga/host events and lets other people cast the events.

No need to dwell on it but it's kinda sad BratOK is out. They didn't went any further in that group so he could have easily played tommorrow

I agree that they should have postponed the game. He is a good player and it's very disappointing that he was forced to leave the tournament. As he can't participate in Europe LANs due to visa troubles, at least he could play online.

I absolutely love Rotterdam, I really hope he gets into more casting. I miss his voice from the days I casually followed WC3. It's so comforting hearing that casting again! Rotterdam ftw!

The games ToD and DeMusliM casted together were absolutely hilarious.

ToD: "We have to show the trailer now (Roccat!!!!)"
DeMusliM: "Again ?!?!?! O_O?

Cracked me up

ToD said several times that he's a noob at this game and had Hasu explain P stuff for him that he was confused about. Of course, ToD always says what he thinks and when he do have a strong opinion on something he can be quite stubborn but that's just how he is and part of why he's so popular within the wc3 community. He was awesome yesterday.

Well I never liked wc3 and never followed it or played it so I do not care about this popularity of his from wc3. I see many people here just like him a lot because they know him from before.
Well try to put yourself in my shoes, when I only look at his sc2 knowledge and that one was bad.
When I was looking at GSL VODs in the same day and then opened this stream and listened to him, why would I stay and be happy with such bad casting? I rather look at some GSL VODs again...

Personally I stopped watching because the cocaster was just terrible. His knowledge about the game was sooo bad and he was not entertaining like TB is. Also both of them (especially cocaster) do not have good enough English to do casts in English.
To be fair I seen better casting from TaKesen, I think his cocaster ruined him casting as well.

He really needs to pick better for the future.

are you serious?

You were not listening to him proposing they save the game and continue later? And that one was even better then what he would say later.

You should have listened better. He said that it would be great if the game COULD be saved (like in WC3). If stuff happened it was possible to pause, save, and then start again.
He did a good job and did fit in perfectly. Overall a very good cup, the only thing that sucked was the technical problem at the start and it was not their fault.
Take is investing so much to make all kind of events for the community, I hope he is not too sad about the beginning of the cup and instead looks at the thousands of viewers he has made happy.

Going after his SC2ranks stats (see http://sc2ranks.com/team/8886186) ToD is actually a very decent sc2 player, even if not as good as the progamers there (else he would play too obviously -.-)

Also i gotta say i enjoyed the event yesterday, even though i didn't catch everything!

Really hoping White-RA beats Naniwa, as he is much more likeable. I somehow wish him too win this tournament as well, since he didn't win much lately (or even since beta).

I have been trying to find some brackets or something showing how this went but not found any. Are there up to date brackets out there somewhere?
