You cant be aggressive (other than cheese) vs zerg on scrap station.

Also, I don't think Jinros accent is that thick (I'm English).
I've definitely heard thicker. His English etc is actually amazing, I've come to respect a lot of players English a lot more since that Dreamhack announcer.

Boxer's TvT is considered his best matchup and so it was almost as much as a guaranteed win as people thought. If he had to face a Z or a P, there would probably have been at least a few hundred more votes against Boxer. This upset is still not as great FruitDealer vs. MarineKing in GSL2. Under 150 people picked MarineKing to win that, which wasn't surprising because MarineKing's Ro64 match was absolutely horrid.
Polt's play in the first GSL was impressive until he hit a Terran (OGSTop), who rolled him after defending his (pretty good) rushes. Maybe that had something to do with it, I dunno. Don't quite recall his performance in GLS2...

Sad that Idra got taken out but at least this time it was by a genuinely good player (cold comfort I'm sure).
If I had put a liquibet down today I would have got 1/4 :p Jinro fighting!

Hell yeah Jinro! Took MLG now it's time to take the GSL
I was really impressed with Jinro's play. It's great to see a Terran who plays the longer and probably more difficult game instead of just trying to take it in the first few minutes. One more winning round and we'll have a Liquid with S class

I never liked how quickly the Ro16 comes after the Ro32, but I guess it's not like GSL isn't a whole month long as it is.
Take code-S, Jinro!
It's a shame that IdrA lost. IMMVP is a favorite to win the GSL this season, though, so it's a shame IdrA landed him in the Ro32--not that IdrA couldn't have won if things had gone a little differently.

Polt was very poor in GSL2, got rolled by TerriousfOu in Ro64, he managed to take a set because of Thor dropping on LT. I think Polt's main strength is pretty meticulous timing rushes within the first 10 minutes.

A 2-base marine timing atack through the middle area with the rocks is really good tho.

Yes idra lost and boxer lost what more can i want this is way to awesome ah cant wait for the s4 losses!

So round of 16: 8 T 4 P 4 Z
Does anyone else also think T's tier 1 units are still a little overpowered for the mid to early game against both Z and P? Just watched Idra vs FoxMoon and while T can continue to pump out marines in 25 seconds it takes a zerg 44 (25 + 20) seconds to create banelings to counter them.

Ye IMO games werent all that surprising. Lots of 50-50 games IMO. Check and Boxer are kidn of verrated, because of their fame and the fact that that check used to be very good in beta, but has not improved as much. IMMvp prob. best terran along with Foxer, and I throught Jinro was a slightl faovurite vs Moon on most maps (moon against overrated because of his name).

Hahaha!

Terran proved once again that even with countless nerfs, they still overpowered the other 2 races... We might be getting a TVT finals but the last 4 zerg and protoss are solid hoping for nestea vs fruitdealer ;d

Funny how they set up the brackets, so we would get Moon vs Boxer as a people magnet, and now we get Jinro vs PoltPrime instead.

I love Artosis trying to sound excited when he sees double barracks for like the 50th time this GSL.
DOUBLE BARRACKS TASTELESS!
I bet he's dying inside.

I feel dissapointed by Idra, ive always had high hopes for him.
You cant really blame the maps or the race, losing on Blistering and winning on Stepps then losing to some stupid timing attack which could have been defended. (he scouted the 2 rax at start and still lost some drones, then no expo by MVP should be clear of his intention ...)
|
then no expo by MVP should be clear of his intention
I thought MVP did expand? Maybe I'm imagining things though it was rather late when I watched it live.

But MVP did expo...
Its just a really nasty, hard to scout timing push that was exponentially more effective because of the close positions. Idra started morphing banes as soon as he saw it, but it was in his natural before they were even half way done.
