lol come on man... You can't just invariably cry foul about Protoss UP every time a top protoss gets eliminated.. (I know you didnt outright make a statement, but you implied it)

Did you watch Anypro's first game?
Here's what he did..
Lost a lone stalker near the watchtower, got two gas and stopped mining one, got supply blocked for 40 seconds right before Terran's pressure arrived.. Tried to fast-expand with no units to defend.. And had all his gateways powered by one pylon

Watch it again, and I dare you to then try and argue that Anypro's game says ANYTHING about protoss balance..
Whether the low representation says anything about protoss or not, Anypro deserved to lose these games and it had absolutely nothing to do with the race he chose..

I don't really care to get into the debate about Protoss balance.. But I just can't stand it when people choose every single opportunity to try to push the point, even using examples which show player incompetence and no signs of racial imbalance..

I'm rooting for all the Protoss but Anypro's games were pretty bad , really glad Genius held off those all-ins though. Fixing his hair in front of the camera after he won too, what personality.

To the zergs who watched this match and thinks their race can no longer FE due to "op cannons"...

Simply go pool first then hatch. Keep a drone patrol also. It's almost the same econ-wise really. Going hatch first is a gamble which would pay off slightly. I am sure the zerg that just lost is not whining about "op cannons", but more about luck of the spawn-positions.

Youre misunderstanding the issue.
I want to have options. I want to use strategies. i want to be able to expand and defend expansions. It's fine if he cannons me, but i want to be able to match my skill against his skill and see who comes out on top.

You can. You just have to make a pool before expanding like every other race. Then you can show your skill instead of showing your poor decision making.

Overall the game balance just isnt there yet. Thinking about broodwar and how long that took, plus using BLIZZARD maps it's just ugly watching some games. I hate how certain races simply have to use the same build over and over because of map imbalance or something. I cant blame anyone for that though, what can you do as terran against zerg on short maps? You all in them as hard as possible because if they get up on you on bases with a comfortable lead you're done.

I personally liked boogieboy v rache game 2. Not very exciting but quite educational.

Anypro isn't even the best protoss on his team, let alone 4th best in the world. His performances these last two seasons have been abysmal.

In Broodwar didn't a 12 hatch Zerg make 3 sunkens to be safe from an early mm push before mutas? Why don't SC2 zergs do this? I also recall Jaedong losing a bunch of games to an mm push after he 12 hatched but skipped sunkens.

In BW, sunkens buy you time until lurkers or mutas, which punishes terran for going marine heavy. In SC2, marine-marauder heavy MMM builds are the way to go and you don't get punished for it whatsoever.

SC2 is just a fail game. Factory liftoff for scouting? pfft. FAIL!!!

Broodwar terrans also go marine heavy. Instead of lurkers there are now banelings.

I've been very disappointed when watching GSL lately. There's so much all-in, 1 base stuff going on all the time. I wants macro games. I wants BW style greediness from both players. I wants players to learn how to defend all the silly aggression. I wants the overall mentality to change from ''How can I find a way to kill him off when he's being greedy'' to ''How can I outgreed him when he's being greedy''.

It's quite simple. Terran isn't as good late game, and it's pretty obvious. Zerg late game as well as Protoss late game just wreck Terran. And since there are a billion Terrans, all they do is try to end it early, playing to the strengths of their race.

You couldnt be more wrong. There are tons of great terran macro players out there like Painuser, Jinro and pretty much every top US/EU terran. We just havnt had the chance to watch it in GSL yet cause everyone plays retarded.

Yeah I wonder why all those terrible Terrans keep qualifying for the GSL. Zerg in US/EU is not the same as Zerg in Korean. I don't want to disrespect non-Korean Zerg but ever since the beta Zerg has always been doing better in Korea and much less so in EU/US. Jinro and Painuser are good at TvZ but until they use that style to beat the like of FD or Kyrix you would have a hard time convincing people that TvZ late game is fine.

We have seen some Terrans like TOP and Ensnare tried to play standard in GSL2 but they all lost to Zerg who abuse muta harass plus ling bling infestors. Are you willing to say that Jinro and Painuser are better than those two guys?

I want to see more Nada's style (not this season, I know). I didn't have the chance to watch him, but TL agreeded on his perfect macro. I strongly doubt that a perfect Terran macroer has bad late game options: just multi drops and defending new expos with PF is super strong, and Marauders are very effective reached that point.
Q. You've been criticized for using cheesy builds in the past, but now people are saying that you've played some good games today. A. I'm glad that they think that way, but that won't stop me from using cheesy builds.(oGsHyperdub)

I dont think anyproprime's performance says anything about balance, however i think there are some issues with P holding them back a bit. Even in PvP.

It was painful to watch that TVT matchup with scfou and that wc3 gamer lyn i believe it was, they were doing it so bad it made me leave halfway through the lt game because of how stupid they were being. Honestly I don't understand why in their games they made vikings in the beginning and land them and lose them all and transition into agreeing both players will make medivacs and truce to air control... They basically kept throwing away their advantages and that 2nd game they stayed on 2 base so long that I just was enraged on how tasteless and artosis was not saying anything about how bad these players really were not expanding 20 min in the game on 2 base..

lol how is anypro considered a top 4 toss.

I've seen him play in the GSL (always one sided)
I saw him play at the team invitational. (he got nuked owned)

Its not the matchup or a map problem. His game mechanics are way off.

I love how there's absolutely no recommended games from the evening games - that's because they were all horrible.

Only game I would recommend would be Tosyad/Fruitdealer game2 (8 pool vs. 14 hatch).

If you like seeing why fast expansions in close positions might not be the best plan of all time, check out anyproPrime/TheBestfOu game1 and NEXNaya/HongUnPrime game2.

If you like epic Tasteless quotes, sCfOu/Bless game2 solely for my new signature, not because it's actually that great of a game.

Just watched the VODs, and I'm socked by how bad ITR played...on metalo, his first push should have won the game had he microed his marines, but no he amoved, was surrounded and died....then it was mistake after mistake after mistake, no micro (lol ?), I don't understand what happened, I mean me, a mediocre player, would have won if I could have controled his marine group...I'm shocked.
