This is the first of what I hope to be a regular thing, a test-case. The SHOUTcraft Showcase hopes to bring exciting showmatches between both well-known and up-and-coming players as well as forge links and partnerships with well respected sponsors, to ensure regular money is coming into the eSports scene. My focus right now is to help promote British eSports, but my intention is to expand beyond that in the future. I will also be sponsoring some matches myself. I'm a Youtube partner and this is my job, it's only fair that the players see some of that money, since they're doing the hard work.
All matches will be cast from replays to ensure the legitimacy and integrity of the event. At the end of the day, sponsors can be hesitant to put their name behind an event which has the potential to be tainted by cheating. Until a better (tape delay) solution is found, replays are the way to go. In future these events will be both broadcast live and provided in VoD form on my Youtube channel. Sponsorship will be in the form of name-branding the show-match series and a branded bar covering up the replay progress indicator. Sponsorship is all about give and take. Overly intrusive advertising is a turn-off to spectators, but for eSports to grow sponsors need to be getting their money's worth. I'm hoping to strike a good balance with this series.
Information for sponsors
While we're contacting various appropriate companies to secure sponsorship for future events, representatives are more than welcome to contact us by sending enquiries to shoutcraft[at]cynicalbrit[dot]com.
Sup Whiplash. Should be happening, just need to sort out a US copy of the game and get it installed on the new rig.
Once the new casting rig gets sorted out, the promise of Youtubing every game will actually be a reality. It'll be FRAPsing and streaming live at the same time.
Ok, all games are cast. Encoding time was longer than anticipated, Premiere really hates overlays, but whatever. They'll all get uploaded tomorrow. Had a lot of fun casting them, it's good to be back in the saddle.
That was the best TB casting I've ever tuned in to. Totally awesome, nice mix of entertainment and intelligent commentary (considering he doesn't play too much sc). Great games as well. Game 2&3 were especially good.

Agreed, very entertaining as both players were on their game aswell. Last time I saw these two play (i40) I think randy was really tired so its good to have a rematch.
Nice, have to watch this when I get home! TB is one of the best shoutcasters out there. Especially when it comes to making sc2 interesting to people that are normally not that much into the game.
Was sceptical about this given I prefer the "analytical" stuff, but you have really great delivery and vocabulary and kept me thoroughly entertained throughout. I didn't find myself wondering if you knew what you were talking about so you either do, or hide that you don't very well :p.
Great stuff, more please (you do requests right? :>).
Great looking forward to it watching it tonight. But can i suggest one thing? Next time link to the games and add fake links for games not played. Because we know it's a bo7 after a couple of games we know the outcome of the showmatch.
I had forgot how much I enjoy listening to your casts. You might not be analytical on the same level as Day, but I think you underrate yourself, you really do have a great grasp of the game. Your energy is catchy and love the voice.
One comment, they have added an in game clock since the last time you casted, I like it on to see when certain attacks occur but of course I may be in the minority.t I thought I would point it out since a some casters have started turning it on and maybe you hadn't decided yet.

Thanks for your hard work.
Yeah, I will definitely add the clock in future. Several people have requested it.
rANDY has received his prize money. Looking into other matches going forward. Got a good number of views on this. Feel free to give any suggestions of players you'd like to see in future matches.
