Morrow switched races less than 2 months ago, didn't even switch entirely until about a month ago, has been occupied with studies and is already one of the top foreigner zergs somehow. Give a guy some credit?

What? He took a a huge chance and it paid of, how was it bad play? Because vs a good zerg, it would not have paid off, and killing 30 drones would of been the better action.
How would a better zerg handle it? Have an overseer there faster, When Morrow turned his overseer around as soon as he noticed the dts? And 30 drones? Had Nama targeted the drones morrow would have moved them down to his expansion, closer to his overseer, and even if he didn't, wasn't even 30 drones at the main.
So, kill 10-15 drones to equalize the worker count or take a big chance, kill the lair and get a big lead?

1) BO1 did not lose players games. They were outplayed in individual games by opponents which eventually lost them the games. Except the amazingly stupid coin-toss decider, I don't think anyone can blame the format for players getting knocked out. I mean, the players themselves would say that they lost because they did not play up to mark and who are we to argue.

Actually, I disagree with this guy's approval on Bo1 format. I think a solid Bo3 in the group stage is needed in the future tournaments because Bo1 still has a lot of "luck" factoring into the outcome of the match. Why do we have several sets in other sports like Tennis anyway? We want more consistant players to advance to the higher stages of the tournament. We don't want players who only do 6 or 7 pool to advance to the knock-out stage. One's effort put in macro management should be valued more imo. Anyhow, one game takes about an average of 20 minutes. So if one were to do Bo3 instead of Bo1, about an average of 40 more minutes will take to finish a match. I think 60 minutes average maximum for a match is not that bad.

The round of 8 starts at 10.00 CET, the semifinals are 13.00 CET, and the Final is at 17.00 CET (CET = GMT + 1 = EST + 6) 27/11

according to oGsMC who lives with Liquid guys in Korea, Jinro was F level player when he just arrived in Korea(TLO was A level), but Jinro practiced over and over, studied of replays etc.. so now, MC thinks that Jinro became a A level player hard to deal with(especially in long term game), and TLO is now B- level because he had some wrist problem that's why He haven't practiced enough.

It's not like they're sitting there petting a cat and going "yes... yes.. we will have them fight each other to the death to prove europe something and piss off people in the teamliquid live report thread". If either of those players had done better in their respective groups they would have met someone completely different.
Looking at the premade brackets after people qualified and then rearranging them to favour certain players would have been even worse.

Those games between Morrow and MaNa must have been rigged. Im sorry.

There were probably 20 or more better european players at the time he joined them in Korea. Anyway, he's sick good now.

I dont think anyone would argue that bo3 is a better determiner of skill than bo1 - but I think the point the OP was making (and that i supported) was that bo1 wasnt completely awful - like many suspected it would be.
I expected 9/10 group stage games to be something like a cannon rush, marine/scv rush or 6 pool - when actually it was more like 1/10.

Man, srsly. bo1 and single elimination.. it's just sooo bad.. At least full double would be much better

He did very little scouting in both games.

Bo1 works from a "fairness" PoV. I mean you still pretty much have to win 2 out of 3 games to almost guaranteed go through, same as if it would have been a pure single elim Bo3 bracket like GSL. And we see plenty of "unfair" results in GSL and other Bo3 tournies too where the seemingly weaker player goes through. It wont get fair unless you play Bo50s or something.
Bo1 is however pretty bad from a viewer PoV, and I imagine even worse from a player PoV. As funny as Actionjesus appearance was, I feel pretty bad for lucifron going out against a 6pool, just as I feel pretty bad for demuslim going out against a 2gate proxy (and demuslim beat fenix, who is now in ro8). Bo1 kinda makes it so that losing to cheesy strat like that has way too much affect on tournament results. And that Bo1 also has a pretty high chance of ending up in 3way ties is kinda bad too, but the real blunder was the coinflip rule.
Bo3 is obviously better overall, but Bo1 when in group play is still just as fail (or unfair) as most other formats. But the coinflip rule needs to go asap.

top foreiginer zerg?
Is that term thrown around at will or is the foreigner scene that weak?
He went 2-1 in group stages (meaning he won two BO1) then lost his first play off games?

A better zerg would have immediately morphed the overseer by the lair instead of turning the one all the way across the map around, letting it get halfway back, then deciding that was too slow and morphing one by the lair that still finished before the original overseer was back.

Totally... I get your point. It wasn't as bad as we expected, but still... if they can afford Bo3, they should do Bo3 instead of Bo1. Well, if they don't have enough time for doing Bo3, then I guess we have no other option then.

well even though the coinflip sucks, it is still kinda understandable. They had a three-way-tie twice and playing the games for the third time would kinda take it very long.
