How can it be that players who win have to play the better players to advance while if you lose you can pull through the loser bracket with lesser players and still get to the finals. If I am missing something here, would be nice if someone could shortly explain. Double elimination. You have to lose twice. So in the Finals, if the player from the loser bracket wins, then they play again because you have to lose twice to get eliminated. If the player from the winner bracket wins, that's it because the other guy lost once already earlier in the tourney. But there would not be two bo5/7s but an advantage (like starting 1:0) for the player comming from winnerbracket, right? think of it as two different brackets all heading toward the main match of the evening. the only time an advantage is given to the guy in the winners bracket, is if he put that guy in the losers bracket. At which point they play an extended series thats best of 7 which includes their previous games. So if Idra and Huk play again they it will Bo7 and one of them will be up either 2-0 or 2-1 in the series. However if the ppl from the winners and losers bracket have not played each other then they just play a best of 5

Huk sniped that creep tumor. That'll help him be aggressive a lot.

generally in double elimination tournaments, there will be two sets in the finals IF the player from the loser bracket wins the first set. The advantage of the other player is that he is basically up one set. I don't know if mlg has a different way of doing it but that's how double elimination usually works.

wtf? This is winner's finals, not the grand finals. Seems odd to me. The winner of this will have won every match. Bringing in people from teh losers bracket to play seems odd because everyone there has already lost a match.

I see you don't grasp the concept of a double elimination tourney?

Please don't begin the whining about the double elimination format. It's a standard format worldwide, there's nothing imbalanced about it.

They are not that difficult. You will note that players that gets knocked down into the lower bracket has to play a huge number of matches compared to the players that stay in the upper bracket.
